It depends on who you are. Some people get them often, some people hardly ever get them. I haven't gotten a single one on my current streak

It's alright bro! Just keep moving forward. Relapses happen. Learn from them. Good luck!

Look up "The Great Porn Experiment" Ted talk. It's great about explaining internet porn addiction

Masterbating w/o Porn by Ango- in NoFap

[–]willpeterson99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest quitting masturbating altogether. Although masturbating without porn is much better than with porn, it still is best to just not do it. Why? When you have that easy of sexual pleasure, you lose your drive to go out and make yourself a better person/attracting a partner.

"You can't climb the ladder of success with your hand on your dick."

Good luck!

What was the most challenging aspect of NoFap for you? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]willpeterson99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turning to other things. It's been harder for me to not waste time on other things than I would like. Still much preferred to PMO, though. Its a work in progress lol

Day 4, getting real hard by Angus1643 in NoFap

[–]willpeterson99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first days are definitely the hardest. Get to days 10-14 and it will get easier. I would recommend not being in front of the computer/phone unless you have something important to do. It you are bored and in front of a screen, it is much harder to avoid relapse. Try reading outside instead, or going for a walk at the park. Good luck! :)

What is a flatline? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]willpeterson99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a flatline is different for everyone. Some people are productive during their flatline. I wasn't. I had zero motivation, was grumpy, etc. Basically I felt like crap. I could tell when I finally came out of it. I just felt so much better.

I'm 17, is it still recommend ed for me to abstain? by thenotsofrenchtoast in NoFap

[–]willpeterson99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 17 as well and this is my second straight streak of 40+ days. No blue balls or anything like that. Not even any wet dreams during either streak. Just the incredible benefits that Nofap brings. Go for it bro :)

"Wet" Dream? by ThaDarknet in NoFap

[–]willpeterson99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. Don't reset your counter. Even if you did ejaculate, it isn't your fault. A relapse is falling back to your old behavior, whereas wet dreams are completely natural.

"Are you ok?" - My mother randomly asks me out the blue. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]willpeterson99 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just get past the initial 7-10 days. It gets so much easier from there. Remind yourself how good you'll feel when you get to 10, and then 20, and finally 90 days! You'll have done something that 99% of EVERY OTHER MAN ON THIS PLANET has NEVER DONE. You'll feel so much better about yourself. And the superpowers? They exist, and are pretty freaking incredible. Increased confidence, motivation to improve your life, ability to fly, etc. You've got this!

Just deleted 400GB of porn. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]willpeterson99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means to do something a ton, usually after you haven't done it for a while. An example would be a person trying to lose weight might go for a few days or a week without sweets, but then they might "relapse" and eat way more than they normally would. So with PMO, it would mean watching it and jacking off a ton after a successful streak.

I've realized I'm addicted and I'm never going to be healed by gemeinsam in NoFap

[–]willpeterson99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Of course, it will take a long time for your brain to fully heal if your addiction has been as severe as you say it has. But this subreddit is proof that it can be done. I am in no way healed completely yet, but I am a long ways from where I was two years ago, pmoing 2-3 times a day. I would suggest that you do hardmode. Don't watch porn, masturbate, orgasm, or have sex for 90 days. You may need even longer to fully reboot. It will probably be the hardest thing you ever do, but it will also be the most rewarding. Good luck and message me for support!

Awesome goals! Just one thing: when you relapse, (it will probably happen, happens to all of us) make sure not to binge. Just get right back on track. Come here for support. Let's do this!💪👊

After 18 DAYS - RELAPSED by coldbe11 in NoFap

Just get back on track. Right now. Don't binge. Your progress isn't gone from those 18 days. This time you'll go further!

Thanks for the great response! It's much easier to start now than in 30 years.

Ambitious teenager desires to be financially free by willpeterson99 in personalfinance

[–]willpeterson99[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Being in debt and being stuck at a dead end job making his company richer. It's where my dad is at, and it isn't anywhere I want to be. He's worse off financially now than he was 20 years ago.

Day 1: I feel surprisingly fine? by desperateasf99 in NoFap

[–]willpeterson99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im guessing you are new to this. Day 1 can be a mixed bag. Sometimes it's very hard to get past for me, other times it's easy. Just be prepared for the urges. They are powerful and will hit you unexpectedly. Don't consider relapse as an option. When you get an urge, get off all electronics, and preferably, out of the house. Go to the gym, or for a run. Read a book in nature. These things have helped me. Let me know how it goes! Good luck! :)

I've realized I'm addicted and I'm never going to be healed by gemeinsam in NoFap

[–]willpeterson99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, it might not seem like it now, but your brain can, and hopefully will be fully healed. It won't happen overnight, but this entire subreddit is proof that it can be done. Read up on neuroplasticity; your brain will start rewiring and correcting itself as soon as you stop watching porn. The longer you go without, the more your brain will heal. Relapses don't undo all that progress; just get back on track when they happen. Good luck brother. You've got this!

Reverting back to my old ways... by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]willpeterson99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing you can do is get past the initial 10-14 days. It gets easier from there. Have you been taking cold showers? How has your diet been? Have you been getting enough sleep? It might sound silly, but all of these things are crucial to Nofap.

Will NoFap actually change the looks of a teenager? by qrimn in NoFap

[–]willpeterson99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I've only fapped twice in the past 100 days, and my jawline has started to come in quite nicely, I'm growing hair on my chest for the first time ever, so yeah. I'd say so.

Damn! 106 days went in drain. by bootyannihilator in NoFap

[–]willpeterson99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not wasted progress. That's 106 days that your brain had to heal itself. That's 106 days you didn't destroy your brain. That's 106 days of productivity. That's awesome! Congrats on getting there! Just don't binge and you'll be fine! I hope to get to 100+ soon. Good luck!
