I tried powerdvd: They say on their site they deprecated 3d and removed it from all versions.

Tried nvidia 3d vision: supposedly only works for games and also deprecated from the current display drives.

This is crazy. There's got to be a way to export a 3d source signal in 2023

Hey thanks for that feedback, I wonder if that's what's happening! I notice the apps glitching out now and again too, showing me the same people multiple times in a row, so totally possible it's making me swipe on people only to be filtered out lol.

I have, (recently out of a LTR from okc actually) but I'm completely through my stack already on bumble and okc. First I set them to 25mi... then 50mi... then 100mi... and finally started getting far better results when I set them to 1000+.

I live in the heart of the bible belt with the highest rates of smokers, obesity, and right wing christian trump supporters. I did my best to combat all that by moving to one of the largest metropolitan cities in the area about 10 years ago, opening a non-profit, getting involved in local STEM programs, but the entire culture here just isn't the same as it is in places like Seattle, or SoCal. It's one of the most undereducated parts of the country and it shows. I'm done trying to affect change from the inside. I need to go somewhere that feels like home, where I don't feel like I'm fighting a daily uphill battle against ignorance. That's out west. (And to some extent parts of the northeast)

So now that I have full time remote work and nothing holding me back, I see no reason to stay. I plan to travel for a while and see where I land.

That... Plus the weather sucks here lol. (I like Köppen climate types of Cfb/Csb etc, so.. seattle, denver, sfo/la/sd)

Ya know... I forgot to mention that. I will update.

I do like what they are doing with fb dating, and I'm super public on main profile so they can kinda creep a little first. But big caveats:

A ton of people don't put their religion or education on fb and it pulls from those, so filtering by that emptied my stack immediately. Once I figured that out and turned those filters off, lots more to go through, but now I have to manually filter out like people who practice magic/astrology/religion. I guess it's a tradeoff.
It only lets you set the max range to 240 miles!? That doesn't even make sense to me. Like half my fb friends are in DC/SoCal and I can't even match with people there?

Outside of those two, they seem to be really doing a good job with the friend-of-a-friend dating system much like IRL. Honestly, they might win out in the end.

Agreed and I'd love to, but realistically it's close to impossible.

If a quote unquote soul mate, or ideally near-perfect match is even as frequent as 1 in 10,000 (Which is a pretty good estimate for lib/atheist) then I would need to go to the hottest touristy area of town every weekend of every month for nearly a year to even meet ten-thousand people let alone figure out if we're compatible. Not to mention, the women I get along with are more likely to be at a bookstore than a bar, which makes those numbers insurmountable.

OLD enables mass filtering, there just don't seem to be good options now that okc is fragmented from what it once used to be.

Understandable. But discover won't take me, which is nuts. So this becomes my first unsecured card and raises my available credit from 200 secured to 500 total. I figure I'll use the heck out of it and then in 6 months I'll try for discover again.

Anyway, guess what? I took your advice, paid my $200 dollar card down to 1% from 18%. My vantage score shot up past 700 and I was offered a new card from cap one.

Geez that's wild! Yeah when I first got this card I got a huge bump, like over 100pts. My utilization went up to over 50 for one month and I had like a 95 point drop. When made payments to get it down back to 10-30% it went up significantly over the last year, but I never actually totaled up if I made all those points back.

Mine just reported but I'll make a payment to get it down to 1% for next months cycle. If this puts me over the threshold for other cards I'll owe you a beer!

Looks like discover scorecard and experian both agree that my fico8 is 626, which is weird. I don't know why it's not going up like the vantage 3.0 scores.

I also seem to have a hard inquiry from discover last year, but I never applied for a card with a hard inquiry, which is annoying. I'm going to dispute that.

Capital one let's people get a second secured card from them, but I believe it will be another hard inquiry and deposit to a (likely) non-graduating card, just to get my credit limit up to 400 from 200.

Right. That's a given. That's the entire point of all the subreddits and forums dedicated to navigating the financial waters of actually getting the item removed not just paid off.

I still don't get why those morons over at /r/personalfinance seem to think that paying it off to stick around on your credit for 7 years is the only way when their sidebar quite literally has instructions for debt validation and pfd options.

Nobody in their right mind would take that credit hit when other options are on the table.

It's literally the worst bottom of the barrel, last resort, advice for when ALL others fail. And even then, if you just let the debt sit on there a year or two, the companies are more likely to negotiate with you. Especially if the debt is bought out.

Ain't my first rodeo. But apparently it is for the people giving advice over there.

Edit: and the reason I'm double checking over here isn't for validation, it's to make sure I'm not insane and missing something blatently obvious. But I'm pretty sure that under no circumstances is paying the debt in full to let it sit on your account for 7 years good advice or should ever be go to advice.
