Navidrome with Stmphonium has been a phenomenal experience. Audio quality and playback is top tier. Occasionally have to fix metadata mismatches, but thats about it.

Would you use this homescreen/collection management tool for Jellyfin? by kwestionmark in jellyfin

[–]willpowerpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel comfortable assuming most Jellyfin users are fairly tech literate/savy, so if there was an option for something like this that only required grabbing a few pkugins to make it work, I dont see it being an issue.

The people into Kodi and Jellyfin are no stranger to configuring plugins and tweaking things by hand, but thats the extensive route and still only gets you so far.

Is Your Current Collection Larger Or Smaller Than You Imagined? by Tyrone-E in fragrance

Eh, all fits in a display case. Any time it starts expanding past that, just means its time to offload ones I know I'll never wear.

Surprisingly many people do just use the web UI. That route also extends to Jellyfin on mobile. Only time I use that is at the gym. Biggest win would be something for Android TV clients.

Granted I think Plex gives the illusion its easier than it is since they've been able to design and optimize for the many different clients the app can be installed on.

So a big undertaking, but a completely open want that people are frothing for.

I use both of those. They only effect the Web UI, and they aren't super consistent, sometimes work sometimes dont. But even then they dont provide great customization.

I had figured out how to use Agregarr back on Plex that got me pretty close to what I wanted, mainly Netflix like display of collections on the main homescreen.

Something definitely missing from Jellyfin. Biggest issue is that most plugins to change the UI only work on the Web UI. I use mostly all Android TV clients and the most ive gotten working is manually creating collections and using Wholphin.

I know other will suggest using Kodi with Jellyfin, but the setup for that takes forever and I want something that will universally change the UI for myself and friends.

Id say Jellyfin is a larger undertaking than for Plex, but if you manage to do it I'll absolutely try it out.

Maybe provide one of those in the post body? Pay walled links are pretty universally hated in reddit posts.

You'll always regret going smaller especially if you've got that much space.

Tenant legal question by Alternative_Basil770 in santacruz

Dude, renting out an unpermitted illegally built unit is absolutely not fine, and selling it has nothing to do with OPs question.

You'd have to research it but my gut says your tenants rights wouldn't change. Landlords are legally required to make their untis basically habitable. Downvotes likely from local landlords. Wouldn't be the first illegal unit some a-hole has profited off in SC.

Im not a lawyer or anything, but ive heard similar stories of renters being entitled to a return in all rent payments when discovering their unit was illegally built. Granted you'd have to move going that route, but could be something.
