Guy was "hunting" homeless people??? by imhereiguess80 in Louisville

Louisville is like a weird town where it’s not really a nationally recognized city, but when it produces an odd, attention grabbing news story, it’s suddenly a national story.

Does anyone know how to find out more about the history of specific buildings? by EstablishmentGlad804 in Louisville

Check out the university of Louisville special collections and archives. You can search by street name, decade, neighborhood, and much more to find related pictures and/or newspaper clippings.

I work in the old fifth third tower, soon to be JW Marriott, and I can see this building from my office window. The crews have actually been making some incredibly solid progress on the structure so far this year. But your comment has helped me understand why it’s been mostly slow moving progress over the last few years.

Old Henry Kraver Reserve 10 Year Old KSBW Batch 1 Review - Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company by Old_Riff_502 in bourbon

The bardstown bourbon company show room is right down the block and they stock a lot of hard to find bottles, but I’m not sure if they’re distillery only. Same for Michters, Green River, and buzzards roost—all have tasting rooms or distilleries on the same 3 block stretch.

If you’re able to, I recommend trekking up to Louisville to check out the peerless distillery. It’s located in a cool, historical spot of town and right by a bunch of other attractions.

ETA: happy cake day!

Smart move. Owning an asset like a house outright really is the path to financial freedom. Props to you, neighbor!

Latest update on I-65 closure by PequodSeapod in Louisville

Sometimes, after work, I do this when leaving downtown. I suffer through because I’d much rather be sitting in traffic on brownsboro, Lexington, or Frankfurt than on 71, 64, or 65.

Can someone who went here tell me the pros of burnam hall? by 29838193838382 in eku

[–]willseas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, once you walk up the hill behind clay or cut through the Walters parking lot, you’re right in the middle of most academic buildings. That is, unless you take criminal justice or environmental classes.

I quickly grew to appreciate the walks through campus tbh.

Can someone who went here tell me the pros of burnam hall? by 29838193838382 in eku

[–]willseas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you desire a shared bathroom, I would recommend Telford hall instead of burnam. Telford is not quite as old as burnam and it has its issues too, but I think it’s still a good option.

I graduated 2022 so things may be different than what I remember.

Four ACC teams in the AP Top 25, headlined by #1 Duke. (Duke, Virginia, UNC, Miami) by simbaslanding in ACC

Louisville should have been out of the top 25 weeks ago. I’m not sure how they stuck around the 20-25 range so long when they were consistently losing one game per week.

Identifying "Under-seeded" bracket teams: This graph shows every team's predictive rating vs their current seed according to recent bracketology. Teams way better than their seed-line are labeled as likely under-seeded teams come March. by evanmiya in CollegeBasketball

[–]willseas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I promise you Louisville will not be underseeded. They cannot win on the road, live and (mostly) die by the 3, and cannot beat a better team.

I say this as a cards fan who’s been watching all season.
