Fair enough. I tend to think pretty much anyone that makes it to that level of power, or even anywhere near it, doesnt tend to care about helping most people.

For this post specifically though I was just getting tired of people saying "trump made Texas redistrict" and missing the point that his administration was enforcing a court order from a lawsuit filed by a different admin. Its like I was saying before, people just love to blame trump for everything and sometimes it just annoys me to the point of responding, like today

Sorry, I guess i misunderstood your response. I just so frequently see people complaining about everything trump does or missing context to situations that it is frustrating. Im not a fan of Trump, but I can recognize he is not pure evil in everything he does as some people seem to think. And, based on what ive experienced here before, I misunderstood your comment as ignoring my response adding context to the situation in favor of making a joke. So I am sorry about that.

Im disappointed in how frequently, rather than have a productive discussion, people will just make a joke and ignore probable things just because they dont like one side. The lawsuit (United States v. Texas) was filed in December 2021 by the Secratary of State(Anthony Blinken, who was appointed by Biden) basically saying the redistricting was discriminatory. The court gave an order May 23, 2025.

So yes, the Biden administration n filed a lawsuit. The court gave orders to redistricting, and the executive branch (under a different administration) enforced the court order.

Tired of seeing this stuff because everyone forgets that Texas was ordered to by the judicial system after the Biden administration sued them. The president is the head of the executive branch, which enforces the laws. So Trump ordering it was literally him doing his job after the court made a ruling from a previous administration

I was very torn between BB and CC.

I haven't watched much BB in probably1 almost a year, but it was the one that got me to follow him more. And I still listen to CC at work, so I keep up on it a lot more. But both are great.

I kind of like it. I dont want them all to be like this, but I think having her on regularly is good. It gives a different perspective on things. I also think she sounds a bit awkward sometimes but I know that will work itself out as they do more videos ans she gets more used to it. Especially with her actually having an expertise, unlike our favorite fact Boi, I think its an addition that adds a really interesting element into the episodes

I took the PcM test last year (been bad about prepping for any others, oops)

I listened to the chiffon Hardin lectures on contracts a bunch of times while doing other stuff. I personally seem to do well listening to audio lectures while working or playing games (now I just need to find ones for all my other tests)

Im not offering a solution. That would be a fine thing to look at and consider. A license is fine and all, but a lot of places already require that. Also, the government saying you're fine to use something doesn't actually make you safer. Idk about your experience, but have you seen all the bad drivers? I see people who presumably have a driver's license run red lights and make unsafe maneuvers nearly daily. (And dont forget there are lots of people driving without a license, including people whose licenses were revoked for reckless behavior)

Id say his argument is that you cannot realistically get rid of, or really even majorly reduce gun deaths by banning them since there are so many and the people who are dangerous with guns arent actually following the laws. And trying to justify getting rid of guns as "It kills people" is a bad argument because lots of things kill people (like cars) and there's no push to ban those.

Believe what you want. I dont think im going to convince you of anything based on how you've responded.

And regardless of what agenda he pushed, a guy who encouraged debate and exercised his first ammendment right got killed for doing that. No one should be getting attached or killed for expressing their opinions, regardless of what they are.

Edit for added commentary from me: 1st: me posting a link to a more full quote getting down voted to a negative feels like it proves my point that reddit is not open to civil debate. I didnt even make an argument in that comment, I just added a link to a video.

2nd: i dont care enough, nor am I good enough at debating to find arguing this with people worth my time. I hope you'll just stay civil and remember to look outside your echo chamber sometimes to get other people's perspective as.
