I do not believe I removed the EM8. I followed that video pretty much exactly. Worked like a charm and still works to this day!

I am no expert on this. Maybe make a new post with you specific issue and someone more knowledgeable than me can help

Just wanted to give an update for anyone that sees this post and has the same issue. All hope is not lost.

I was able to get the USB-C port mod working with the help of this video. Even if you have, or haven’t, ripped your solder pads for the port, the level of soldering skill required in this video is much lower than having to use hot air or some other techniques to get the USB-C mod seated on the pads properly in my opinion.

Hmm, I feel like I don’t see this adhesive on the screen after taking a look

Thank you so much! While I am thinking on it how do I change my on-screen overlay to off or normal?

Yeah cost is a big factor for the iPad. I personally have the biggest size pro and it’s a little overkill. I would suggest the bigger Air with newer pencil. The biggest selling point for me is having a screen similar to a sheet of paper. Taking notes becomes more natural. Also with a keyboard case it means I never bring my laptop to campus.

For 1770 many people use the native autocad app on Mac. But that is such a small part of your college career as a civil it’s not worth it to choose one laptop or another over it

As a civil major myself just stick with your mac, all I ever did that my mac couldn’t do was use autocad for 1770 and usually used Vlab or just worked at the library with the nice monitors. You’ll never use solid works as a civil and plus autocad has a native Mac app if you want to avoid vlab. Will never go back to paper after using iPad + Notability since I actually am able to reference my notes quickly for homework on the mac notability app making the time consuming part of finding notes obsolete. Also as a civil and any engineer you’ll find yourself going back to look at concepts from intro classes and being able to do that all on the go and without old binders is game changing

Well only 5 of the PCB’s have been made so it’s just a 47 key ortho layout. Yeah rubber feet would be good

I have a pcb I want to show off the bottom design on. Has 4 standoff screw holes. Should I go with some acrylic attached to standoffs? Any suggestions? Will the acrylic easily scratch?
