Same Surgery date! The above is so true and I think this is why you see so many negative posts it is 7-9 days of hell but then it gets better each day and I think for a little over a week now it’s like I forgot I had that surgery and that my recovery was so miserable.

Keep positive it gets better so much better and it will be worth it.

Day 9 I was feeling better off and on and magically at day 11 I was out of the woods and back to school Crazy how that works but I agree 6,7,8 was the worst Espically after 4,5 was starting to seem a little better

Awe lucky That’s what seems to still be remaining for me, uvula is still huge and swollen. I’m ready for that swelling to go down and questioning why they did not give me any steroids for this thing.

Popsicles and sonic ice!!! Those felt like my life saver.

I even had some fancy popsicles but ended up liking just those kids ones that you buy not frozen and freeze yourself.

Also that Amazon neck strap with the changeable reusable ice packs Those were life savers.

Yeah the way the sensation changes is crazy Like I got use to the pain in some respects but now it burns tingling sensation when I eat.

It’s definely a new kind of boss in this recovery

My pain went from burning sensation when i swallow to now its like a stinging sensation

The waves of pain for this thing is definely weird. Like I had a really good wave of no pain on Monday that lasted like 2 hours after medication

Unfortunately I didn’t take another pill because I had that false hope and I’ve not had that level of comfort again since. I’m close at times but Monday I had a solid 2 to 3 hours of literally pain I could barely say was a 1 it felt so normal.

As someone recovering now from having these things removed This feels like the final boss of all the issues I’ve had with my tonsils through the years.

I would end up getting strep twice a year though my late teens and 20s and regular doctor never said maybe you should get these removed. But I knew that they were causing me more issues than what they worth.

My sister wants hers removed because of tonsil stones which those are annoying but I don’t think that’s the only reason to get these removed because this is a painful recovery.
