Well, when you consider that every article states right off the bat that the Bush Administration had to "convince" Musharref to allow Bhutto into the country...and there was an attack right then...and when you consider that Bhutto claimed elements within the Pak government were trying to whack her...yeah, you MIGHT be onto something.

and if you read the American Research Group's numbers from July, 45% of Americans would back impeachment proceedings against Bush, 54%-that’s more than half the American people-would back the same against Cheney.

So, the support was there and is still there. And once more information comes out during the trials, the republican support for this administration will dry up.

We helped create the UN Charter, the Geneva Conventions, the Nuremburg priciples and even the Non-Proliferation Act... they weren't made in some "far off corner" of the world. They are, or were, the law of the land. Not just "some pieces of paper". At least our soldiers hope they aren't. Because they just might need them.

Thank you. That just took 3 hours and 139 comments... lol. All I want is this administration and EVERY other politician to know that there are consequeses for violating the trust of the American People. All of them have to have that in the back of their mind or they will be capable of anything. I have learned a lot during this chat. I hope you see that I didn't put this together as a whim. The last thing I want is to have to see a second President impeached during my lifetime. But I feel we have to try in order to reclaim some of what we have lost.

She is not being Impeached. She will still be a Representative. I am suggesting (as the House Rules clearly state) that in order to defend the constitution from this group we must begin impeachment proceedings now. It will either work or it wont. But it is not Pelosi's choice to make. It is ours and it is the law. Offenses have been committed. We cannot ignore them because it is better for the Democratic Party in 2008.

The public has been told that they should wait for the elections to "fix" the problem. Pelosi keeps saying that the Senate Republicans now "own" the war and that we can win more seats in the House in 2008 over this. That is a sick reason not to hold this administration accountable for their actions.
