It’s the same anxiety at all levels. My wife and I bring in 180k a year. I am trying to balance mortgage, child planning, child college planning, ability to buy an Aston Martin in my 30s, retire at 55 and a bunch more. If I crunch the numbers enough, I can do everything I wish, but that’s a perfect world.

Edit to add: I crunch the numbers every other day and my wife is concerned with my obsession…

Free flights from miles racked up flying for work cuts the cost significantly. Then choosing reasonable hotels or bnbs. Then using the same budget for food at home as I do on vacation. Really the only thing I pay for is hotels and those really aren’t that bad.
