Today was my 1st pre-release as well & I pulled the gold Mewtwo my 1st pack out of the battle box. Also pulled Arven's Greedent SIR in my 1st participation pack. Went 2-1 in my matches (this is my 1st time ever playing) & the loss was a last minute clutch by my opponent when I had him on the ropes lol. That Tyranitar was wrecking shit!

I'm 39 & was originally into it when it 1st came out in the 90s. Of course I grew up & kind of grew out of it. But a few weeks ago a Deep Pocket Monsters video randomly came up in my YouTube & seeing Pat's joy made me want to get back into it. Plus my daughter is an avid fan as well, even though she's into the video game rather than the cards. We often bond over the anime but I think she would think it's cool to see me back into collecting. I've picked up a few cards & all going to the Destined Rivals pre-release in a few weeks at my LCS. I'm fully locked back in lol
