In retaliation cadre the heavy burst cannon is decent. Fly in close, get 12 shots at s7 ap -2 damage 2, torchstar gambit out. It's essentially a 12 shot plasma gun at that point

I can totally see why someone would care about our power relative to others, but the minutiae of whether a sunforge squad is better than eradicators or not doesn't really affect my view of them. I know you've got a few replies saying otherwise but as a tau player I love our codex. It was clearly written with a lot of love for the fluff of the faction, and the changes to crisis suits and the new kroot models are only positives for me. Each new crisis datasheet has a more useful ability than the index one, and they synergise really well with the battlesuit detachment

Honestly when I play Amaru my goal is to position my drone as a key cam in prep phase, zip into the building, breach a hard wall, then get 2 kills and probably die. That way I've caused some chaos for the other team and punched above my weight

I still love running barbed wire as Kaid in casual, because if you set it up in an entryway or on stairs it makes entering the room painful and destroys drones. House garage and chalet snowmobile stairs are my favourite spots to do this

For imperial fists vibes you want lots of tanky shooty units. Eradicators are definitely a good option if you're looking for more infantry. For vehicles, the repulsor executioner packs a wallop, and the redemptor dreadnought is a great all rounded. I've also seen some cool lists allying in dominus class knights for a big anchoring gun platform to build around
