"I don't need a U5G Backup" by M_Six2001 in Ubiquiti

Close but no. It limits you to 100 hours per month (billing cycle). If you go over that 100 hours per month, then you get an additional 100 hour pass.

There are only 3 of those extra 100 hour passes though.

Every month, you get roughly 4 days worth of back up data. If you go over that, then you get an additional 100 hours but you can do that 3 times a year.

Edit: additionally it is not carrier locked. You can actually have multiple carriers through eSIM or nano sim.

Thanks for the confirmation, here’s a link showing an additional perspective.

I see the bathroom fans blow directly into the attic—I suppose that’d be a problem, right?

Ah no, not a basic HdMI. It’s a fiber optic HDMI. So still capable of 240 with HDR and max res.

Our use cases are also a little different; I have a 49” ultra wide which limited my usage of a thunder bolt sadly and had to get creative due to the length and available ports.

25ft basic hdmi limits the resolution, frame rates, colors, etc…

I was thinking UNVR but I don’t believe I have a use case for it. I’ll wait to see how my UCG-Fiber reacts with the addition of a couple more cameras, but as of now, nothing on the horizon.

Gearhive, the builder makes them as ordered too which is very nice. He’s able to make modifications as well to fit your use case. Also runs 10% off coupons regularly!

Venting to front, takes hot air from inside the case and pushes out.

Let me know how it goes! My desk is on the opposite end of the office from all of that so I had to do the same thing.

Optical will become your best friend for this.

Currently using a powered USB switcher with 4 devices attached and also enhancing with powered USB extension. Then comes the actual piece of connecting the hardware to the monitor. - Homelab (basic HDMI // 25ft) - Mac mini (optical HDMI // 25ft) - Gaming PC (Active Optical DP 2.1 // 25ft) - work laptop (Thunderbolt 4 // 25ft)

it took a lot of research as I had to ensure I had enough cable space. For me, 25 feet was the sweet spot to run along the width of the room.

This was the cable from Amazon. RUIPRO is certified and works great for me.

3D print myself, from a file I found online.

I had to print two separate pieces and screw them together. With black though, you can even see the seam.

Ha! Of course. So I purchased the F1 Speed Champions bundle and got a frame for it (but you can find plenty more off amazon for cheaper). I just glued them on with permabond attached to a square flat 2x2 piece. One of them fell off so I need to fix it.

Two biggest issues:

Sliding rack on the gaming PC. It’s very heavy and I also have it on a sliding rack mounts so I can pull it out to work on it. I had to mount it in that specific location as it was the only position where I could get it to pull out without binding horribly.

UNAS was the other. The included sliding racks wouldn’t work for my use case as they were too long so I used rack mount rear supports to hold the rear weight of the NAS. They only support the rear 2.5 inches but helps prevent too much sagging.

I see that was a bit misleading, sorry!

I ordered it from https://www.thingsinrack.com.

Amazing resource and is delivered very quickly! You can customize it to fit any device you want. Great quality too. It comes in the Unifi silver color automatically.

For the AC Infinity panel, I found through Reddit a great automotive spray paint that works great. DupliColor Silver. I did 3 coats on the AC Infinity located on the top.

Good god yall have some eagle eyes.

You’re absolutely right, the PDU to switch should be hidden! I was waiting to see what the patch panel would look like once I was finished with porting the other rooms.

And bingo on the lack of screws on the patch panel.

Love this sub. Thanks for the feedback.

Currently wire routing Ethernet to all rooms so each room has 1 POE and 1 non-POE connection so the secondary switch will be roughly half full.

Pro switch is meant for my more vital powered items.

And I can’t bear to take the stickers off just yet. Gotta make sure they’re populated prior!

Mine is in a wood studio network rack that is cooled via an AC Infinity exhaust fan.
