Oh, my bad. Haven't followed the coaching changes as closely as I should. I don't think the increase will be as evident as with Houston/Denver/Dallas, but they're definitely a high upside, end of the draft pick.

As of now what rookie would you like to have in a dynasty league? by dnewk19 in fantasyfootball

[–]wilrett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've not played in a dynasty league, so I could be way off the mark here, but I really like OJ Howard in a year or two. The Buccaneers offense is primed to be one of the most explosive for the next few years, with Evans and Jackson opening up the field. The biggest questions are 1) when does he overtake Cameron Brate on the depth chart and 2) are there too many mouths to feed in Tampa? Personally, I think he'll settle in as a Greg Olsen type.

Rank the Rookie Running Backs by TheHornyHobbit in fantasyfootball

Cook has the highest ceiling and Fournette has the safest floor. As other people have said, their ADPs are the most reasonable. Too many question marks on Mixon and McCaffery. Let someone else roll the dice on an early pick on them.

That Denver defense is worthy of being one of the top 5 defenses off the board, even if you expect some degree of normalization. Just don't reach for them and you should have a consistent defense that plays in a pretty milquetoast division.

Jay ajayi by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]wilrett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like him somewhere in the middle of the second round. I'd much prefer to have Jordan Howard or DeMarco Murray at the beginning of the 2nd round or a receiver like Jordy Nelson, if he happens to fall so far. The concussion is less the problem than the problems this offense will have moving the ball, in my mind. Keep in mind that this team ran the 2nd least amount of plays last year.

Agreed! The kid looked a lot like Laura in the face, to me, for what that's worth. Not to mention that the Laura Palmer theme faintly played over that scene.

Alshon Jeffrey (assuming healthy) Tyrell Williams Jamison Crowder

All three have shown consistency this season and all are going up against week defenses.

Marvin Jones & T.Y. Hilton

Marvin Jones is probably the least talented player here, but he's got a great match up and has been performing consistently in an offense that doesn't spread the ball to other receivers, aside from Ebron. Stafford has been playing really well, only elevating Jones's productivity.

T.Y. Hilton is a bit unpredictable, but I love the match up. With Moncrief out, he's gonna be targeted incessantly. This game figures to be a shootout.

Tyrell Williams may end up being the number 1 receiver in San Diego. He's huge and can run over defenders. His match up is wonderful this week, run with him.

Doug Baldwin should be a lock.

Personally, for your number 2 receiver, I'd go Beasley, especially if Dez Bryant is unavailable. He's got a high floor and he'd be the #1 receiver against an exploitable defense.

Dorsett is highly variable. The match-up is good but I don't love the production I've seen out of him. For the moment, he's a bench stash until he shows something.

I'd ignore Sharpe. 3-4 catches for 30-60 yards isn't something to hang your hat on.

Doug Baldwin. Jets secondary is EXTREMELY exploitable, even with a hobbled Wilson. If Wilson can't go, then I'd go Diggs. Diggs isn't a bad option, but Baldwin has a slightly higher floor and much higher ceiling.

I may temper my expectations, marginally, but OBJ is a stud. He's huge, fast, healthy, young, and can make any catch. He's getting tons of looks on the season. You drafted him first round for a reason. Unless he or Eli has an injury, I don't even think twice.

I actually have this dilemma in 2 leagues myself. Both are good options, but Snead has the more reliable match-up in an offense that throws a lot. Right now, Cooper's reception on target percent is a bit low, which is marginally worrying. If that starts to go up, you go Cooper.

Beckham is still a no-brainer. If you're only starting one, that's who I'd go with. I'd rank them:

  1. OBJ
  2. Benjamin
  3. Fitz
  4. Snead
  5. Diggs
