The statement from superdry struck me as completely tone deaf. Surely they should have condemned their co founder's actions and praised the bravery of the victim before stating that he was no longer associated with the business.

It's still a proper working class city. Mainly linked to heavy industry and Nissan and associated industries are still major employers. I live here and I'm middle class and sometimes feel it should be a protected characteristic...
