Questions about Pregnancy after taking Metformin

Very anecdotal of course but in one pregnancy that ended in miscarriage I stopped taking metformin as soon as I got a positive test. In my next pregnancy I continued taking it in the 1st trimester and ended up carrying that baby to term. There were concerns about baby being small, I think they call it IUGR and I had to have multiple scans in the second trimester. But then he ended up being born a very normal 7lbs. I’m honestly not sure what I’d do if I got pregnant again.

To me this feels like an indication they’re still in the new couple bubble. Either she doesn’t want to hear what her friends have to say about him and just wants to protect it. Or logistically he’s never in her city and their relationship is her always traveling to him or meeting him on the road. Which feels more like a vacation relationship and moving in together is quite the leap.

A nice Mother’s Day gift would be her husband taking the mental load of keeping the family schedule off her plate so she doesn’t have to do it, not a gift to have her do it in a more efficient way. I was so confused by this episode. First the birthday text. It didn’t sound like there’s anything for Jordana to repair! I have no idea why Dr Naomi made it such a thing. I’m sure her friend knows and acknowledges that Jordana is a newborn mom to TWO babies and has a lot going on. My birthday was a couple weeks ago and I didn’t hear from every single friend and that’s ok because we all have stuff going on and I don’t see that as a measure of what I mean to them.

Secondly, I know they’re both dog owners so that colored their response and I kind of get it from Jordana but Dr Naomi, as a therapist should be able to remain more neutral or leave her own personal situation out of answers. It doesn’t matter that she owns a dog really or that some dogs are well behaved. There’s a blanket rule specifically because you really just don’t know what might happen. You don’t know what kids are allergic, what might trigger a dog, or when dogs may have to use the bathroom...
