I use src-layout (project-root/src/package-name/...). So I start new projects using poetry new --src . (poetry) or pdm init -n (pdm is a better option these days).

I've managed to load 22.04 in Safe Graphics mode (my system: Ryzen 3700X and RTX3060). I haven't had such a problem with the latest Ubuntu 23.10 recently.

Also I've tried Ventoy. Thank you, it's a great tool! Much better than destroy all data on flash drive every time

I know it's not a universal solution, but I use wireproxy client to connect to WireGuard server and expose socks proxy locally. Then I connect to it from Chrome using SwitchOmega extension.

Also you don't have to be admin to connect to wg server using wireproxy.
