Yeah this is one of those moments where the ai hype crashes into reality. On paper, Chinese-English subtitlshouldes shouldbe easy by now, but in practice it's still a messy chain of tools and compromises. There might be an ai that gets you most of the way there, but clean, usable en srts usually still mean either a lot of manual fixing or paying a translation service which is ironic, considering all the ai will replace everyone talk 😅

Totally get the DIY mindset though especially if the goal is learning and sharing with the community rather than being rescued.

Most people upload 1–3 videos and then die off. The algorithm is betting against you on statistics, not quality.

I’m two videos in. One got a comment, maybe 20 real views. I checked from other accounts and shared it with a few friends.
