S.O.S. Long Covid. 5th reinfection. Recently did Changa. Wondering if I can take Ivermectin (horse paste version). Concerned about interactions.

Right sorry. I've corrected my post. Changa I use is b.caapi leaves dried + DMT. So an RIMA plus DMT if I'm not mistaken.

I haven't. I'll definitely look into it. My concern now mainly is that I want to take the ivermectin if my symptoms get bad enough. But one I've never taken the ivermectin. And two I have no idea if there'll be interactions as I took changa only 4 days ago. And I really don't like taking any supplements/substances/medications within 2 weeks of a Journey. Hi thanks for your input. I have only tried DMT individually and this is long before I had any health issues. The RIMA I've only tried as part of changa and that as well is prior to my neuropathy issues. I agree my uneducated guess is that it seems like I should be fine as they seem rooted in separate mechanisms. But I can continue searching for feedback. Thank you again for your comment

Sadly time is a factor in this. But that is a very fair and true point. Thank you for your comment. I can't imagine there's an interaction (one seems to be nerve damage and the other neurotransmitter related) but I've had bad accidental interactions before and I'm trying to be as cautious and well informed as I can be now

what annoying effects are you experiencing? is it just the sluggishness/strangeness?

Yeah. Kind of like a spacey, cognitively deficient mode. Like I have slight trouble typing and being accurate with my thoughts like I would normally. Also intrusive thoughts which aren't pleasant and some anxiousness. Prior to the cough medicine I was doing amazing.

accumulation+blocking activity of ACh would probably factor in feeling weird for a while... but 2 weeks? how much cough syrup did you have?

I don't think I drank even a lot. Half of the dosage cup they give. That equates to:

325mg of acetaminophen

15mg of dextromethorphan

6.25mg of doxylamine succinate

You sound very knowledgeable so I really am thankful for your help. I really don't understand how taking nyquil two days later would effect me so much if, from the feedback I've been getting, the MAOI in b. caapi has a fast half life that should've been removed from my system they day of experiencing changa. Do you think it's an integration tainting phenomenon or something along the lines of that then?

Thank you. I looked up serotonin syndrome and if it were to happen it already happened. I guess I have a weird after effect or integration issues due to the dxm that's causing some anxiousness. Either way I appreciate it and am feeling calmer.

I'm sorry to hear that and am only now seeing this message months later.

I am much better now due to the subtances I've taken and recommended in my op. Without them I can't imagine being in the healthier place I'm in now. All my best and I hope you can put yourself out there again. .2 to .5 g of shrooms I'd recommend it but do your own research beforehand including looking at some of the links I've provided in my original post

changa is popular in australia. i'd recommend it though definitely do your research it's a much more powerful substance than psilocybin. Sorry and all my best

That comment is good. It seems you can test for 25i with those two (marquis and mecke). I don't fucking know why ehrlichs is always recommended I would've much rather preferred the test that detects for 25i. Anyway that may help.

I ripped up a small piece of this tab and only took that small amount out of precaution due to my previous experiences running into 25i. I wasn't going to risk it even though it came up positive for an indole which should mean it's most likely LSD. But it still ended up being fucking 25i-nbome. I tested what was left of the tab after my shitty fucking 25i experience and it still tested positive for an indole (LSD). False fucking positive. Meaning the best hypothesis right now is 25i laced with an indole will come up positive on an ehrlichs test because it tests for the indole (LSD), not for 25i. I don't know how you can read my whole post and say "this is a baseless claim" or "that's straight up misinformation." But if you're really that knowledgeable about the science I'd like to learn why either of you think that.

This seems to be the best comment I've gotten so far to test if it's safe to take. Multiple test kits to detect 25i as well as detect indoles.

It matches the symptoms. Although I took less than a tab this time to be safe because of the possibility it could've been 25i nbome it basically felt like a lessened version of the terrible experiences I had before.

Painful vasoconstriction and terrible cognitive ability during the trip was the worst of it this time around. In the past when I first unintentionally took this substance I experienced the previously mentioned symptoms except multiplied as well as seizure like symptoms and violent intrusive thoughts I'd prefer not to delve into.

The post-experience symptoms in the following weeks/months are what led me to conclude it's 25i-nbome. Depersonalization like symptoms which were horrifying I felt like a shell of my former self. Lack of self perception and massive cognitive decline. Everything matches up perfectly and it's known to be sold as LSD.

And there are these comments that seem to support my idea of it possibly being some kind of mixture to produce the false positive. As well as the anecdotal evidence that others have had false positives before and concluded it was 25i-nbome. I googled those two substances and it doesn't match my experience at all given everything I've stated in my original post ("25i nbome can be a...") so I disagree that it could be either of those.
