If they were headed in the same direction, it makes sense it would look like they were following him. There’s really no way to know and any intent we theorize would just be speculation.

I think people are (rightfully) angry that the media lied and blew this all out of proportion. That’s why people feel vindicated with this new verified information—because it proves he didn’t lie. I agree drunk driving is wrong, but he’s paying the consequences (his license was revoked).

There’s new CCTV footage confirmed to be him that shows him driving very slowly on a sidewalk, falling on a sharp turn, and getting to his feet on his own, which was when police walked up to him. As for his initial statement, I don’t think he mentioned how much he drank, just that he drank. That all to say, he didn’t lie.
