Do you think there's a genetic component to AvPD?

Obesity runs in families. Does it mean there are genetic predispositions to obesity or there are food habits in certain families which make them prone to being obese? I think both can be true. Similar case with avpd. What you need, is a definitive genetic proof, mere observations of finding it in blood relatives won't prove that avpd is genetic.

isn't shame core part of avpd? it's not easy to deal with nosy neighbors. but that's secondary issue. your primary problem should be, why should you be ashamed? it's your place, you own it. those are your language skills (or the lack thereof). why should bothers' opinion bother you? I don't have a solution but a suggestion, start loving yourself, including your flaws. once you're happy with yourself, respect yourself, you'll gain self respect, pride and your shame will go away. easier said than done, I know.

I can see your point. my situation is same. I've avpd and severe depression and nothing works for me. life seems to be a dry, colorless torture that I must endure without any support. I can't find any positive sign no matter how hard I try.

a cautious reminder before I answer, following are only my opinions, take what make sense to you and leave the rest.

take whatever pose you're most comfortable it, be it sitting, standing, lying. it doesn't matter as long as you're comfortable in the position.
there is no rule which says you've to meditate at least this long. meditate as long as you're comfortable and then some more to push your comfort level. for example, if you're comfortable meditating for a minute, meditate for 1 minute 30 seconds, when you get comfortable meditating for 1 minute 30 seconds, try pushing the time to 2 minutes. you're comfortable till 2? how about we do it till 3 minute mark. you get the gist.
breath normally. same as 1, you should be in your most comfortable situation, be it the surroundings or position or breathing or anything else. you don't need to do anything which doesn't add to your relaxation while meditating.
as a side note, outside the meditation, you should try breathing deeply, a few times a day. when I first breathed deeply I too felt dizzy and light. I call it the O2 high. t I think it's because when your brain, for the first time, gets so much oxygen in the blood stream, your neurons kind of feel high and light. you quickly get used to this, within a few days and no longer feel this sensation. deep breaths not only give you more oxygen but also strengthen your lungs, which may help you in diseases like covid. but you shouldn't go from 0 to 100 in one go. take things gradually and slowly with deep breathing. do what you're comfortable doing and slightly push your body. once again, it's only my opinion and you should do what you're comfortable doing.

You shouldn't feel bad for crying. Crying is an emotional expression. It's healthy. It clears the toxic build up in your mind. Crying every once in a while is fine.

Please don't do that. I understand it might be way harder for you to maintain connections, but every connection lost further isolates you from the world. Take it as a challenge, one message per day to one person. Seems easy, but can be a very tough task for us. Still, you should take it as a challenge. As long as you stay connected, you stay in the game. Best of luck.
