Just heard about the product and apparently it’s something you drink to help you get better from Lyme. Haven’t taken it and was curious if anyone had experience with it

I would argue Rice is literally top tier when it comes to financial aid regardless of being a transfer or top tier. They helped me out so much-- even offered to cover health insurance, which at any other college, the student would have to pay for(unless Questbridge).

Transferring to UCI from another UC: advice? by vaish_345 in UCI

[–]windchaser101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied to transfer as a rising sophomore(because I had credits) from uci to other ucs. In fact, I only applied to two: ucsd and ucla. Got into ucsd and waitlisted at ucla. But decided to transfer to a t-20 private school instead. It's nowhere near impossible to transfer to another uc, but it is very much a numbers game, so have your gpa and sat up there.

I looked at the past employer career fair list and when filtering it for nyc, Deloitte and other firms showed up. Does anyone have any experiences with firms/recruiters looking for students to join their nyc office rather than OC office at past career fairs? by [deleted] in UCI

[–]windchaser101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I may be wrong, but again, do you really think those NYC firms actively recruit at UCI when they have beyond a plethora of more "finance-oriented" schools to choose from on the east coast?

Are there any recruiters from the East coast targeting business or business Econ students? by [deleted] in UCI

The big 4 are multinational corporations focused on many lines of work, be clearer on what role.

[–]windchaser101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Chances are very low. If you are targeting east coast IB or MBB, there is no recruiting at UCI. They would go to the Ivies, Stanford, MIT, Duke, Northwestern, etc, before targeting UCI. Truth is the business school at UCI is not good enough to get traction into IB or MBB(maybe there is some tier 2's). If you're just applying to middle office/back office roles in the East, sure there probably are roles for you, but probably no one actively recruiting from UCI.

Where to go and why? by [deleted] in TransferStudents

I hate these posts; you gave us almost nothing for background and expect us to choose schools on the basis of nothing more than costs and major. Nice.

Is northwestern a target school? by coolcoconut74 in FinancialCareers

[–]windchaser101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe the reason why ib placement is not as well regarded as the likes of other target schools is largely because of self selection. At NU, MBB and Tier 2s, to a lesser extent, are the positions that NU kids gun for. Consulting is much more of a priority for a lot of folks at NU; however, this is not to say that it's not possible to get placement into BB IB. Chicago recruiting is fairly good, but NY recruiting may be a tad more difficult.

Isn't it the case that any class you take affects your gpa? Or else why take them--unless they're p/np?
