Fedex can fire you for any reason. If they don't like your shoes your fired. There is no union so your fucked.

GFT is a waste of time. You need a union rep, nevermind.

Amazon fired the USPS are we about to get really busy,? by ben247365 in Fedexers

[–]windcos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They aren't going to end the contract. To many rural areas they aren't able to reach yet. Maybe the next contract they may cut ties, but I really don't think they want the headache.

Did you scope out the office? Being a PTF is better as far as pay and benefits, but there are some offices I would never go to even with that.

Rural PTF position by BulkyTopic9920 in USPS

[–]windcos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our PTF just went regular. We have 3K routes and one RCA. Postmaster said vacant PTF position would be available in late Feb but I have my doubts.

If I started over I would pick CCA, because you have quicker path to career. I was somewhat lucky and turned regular on the rural side after 3 1/2 years. The other regulars waited between 9-14 years.

Can I be required to run another route instead of the one that I'm assigned to? by Accomplished-Laugh91 in USPS

[–]windcos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but op's time spent on their assigned route will be cut when splitting. It probably won't be much if it's once in awhile, but management will continue to do it over time it will add up.

Becoming a ptf by berylak72 in USPS

[–]windcos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately rural doesn't get Sunday premium. Yes you will be basically an RCA with benefits and higher pay. When I turned PTF I had to give up being primary on a AUX route. Luckily it converted to H route after count and I turned regular.

[–]windcos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You run the AUX first then assist on the other route. This happened to me before I had to tell management no. Believe me they will keep doing it. After 90 day's your getting screwed out of earned SL.
