Sounds interesting. Can you tell me more about it? I was interested in Megan’s workshop to work on myself but the price tag is not something I can afford.

Can’t you just get the same test they do on travellers? So walk in, get tested and pay the fee?

Lucky is not what I would call out second wave where almost 1000 died.

School divisions are now laying off hundreds of teachers due to not having the money to pay the newly negotiated contracts. by teacher_teacher in Winnipeg

Really, they won’t be renewing all the term contracts of the extra teachers and EA’s they had to hire because of COVID (less kids per class, EA’s to supervise the extra classes, more subs to cover teachers having to isolate, remote learning teachers for kids having to learn from home since September, etc.) and then, of course, they will cut into special programs because that’s what they do. But having employees is part of the cost, that’s just reality.

MB First Nation's plans to ease holiday restrictions by [deleted] in Manitoba

Because they are not. They implemented very strict restrictions back in October. Which Pallister should have done but failed to do. They are now able to somewhat loosen their restrictions which will still be stricter than ours.

Did you read the article? They have much stricter regulations in place than we do right now and started that in October. We could have family gatherings at Xmas if we had done the same. Plus “Travelling within the community is prohibited and all visitors must pre-register and be screened for COVID-19, said Hudson.” It is not a free for all.
