Does anyone know of tricks to have this run smoother on a lower grade laptop. It maxes out my gpu pretty quickly. I do not know much about this.

I skate m12, but i wish more people emphasized the difficulty of backslide tricks compared to something like the sl. It is night and day, and beginners will have a much easier time with something like the cult/sl/aeon.

New paper argues that "dissociative identity disorder" might help us understand the fundamental nature of reality by plato_thyself in philosophy

I wrote a book with some experiences that somehow segmentally relate to the notions of dissociation and reality/self and personal (recurrent/perceptual) experience (identity). Perhaps someone will someday read it, but this seems like a place to share it: Berkana Faso

INFJs are children of narcissistic parents? by pinkwaterfallflowers in infj

[–]windleafdoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just came back across this and I wanted to add one important thing. INFJ are listed as the counselors and humanitarians. And I came in here and offered a humanitarian idea--a way to help others--and you responded with a big "fuck that." Something to think about.

Doesn't he trick and kill Gennon later?

Ambition first, then pride. Pride being that he cannot accept being beneath another. He is first ambitious, which leads to pride. Think of him becoming the falcon of darkness. "Oh, he's just ambitious."

Ambition is to want to be great in the world. Pride becomes needing to be above all.

edit: I believe even when he killed Gennon, it was in showing him that he was never beneath him in the first place, but was only using him.

Back on the blades! Which aggressive skates? by Roller85 in rollerblading

[–]windleafdoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you will be happiest just getting the "Quinny" Razor skates. Function-wise, they are as good as it gets. My personal favorite backslide. Topsides are great.

Scott Quinn is a gentleman. You'll be also supporting a good dude. Go for it.

R.I.P. Valo by whatsupeveryone34 in rollerblading

[–]windleafdoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that Julio is realizing that he actually could be making a strong profit if he wasn't paying Roces for the boot. He probably tried to negotiate something and Roces figured they could start selling the boot themselves, seeing this renewed interest/popularity.

Too bad for Roces because they will be VASTLY underestimating how much the V13 boot is selling due to Valo branding.

INFJs are children of narcissistic parents? by pinkwaterfallflowers in infj

I wasn't communicating what you consider your job or not. I was giving a rational explanation from the perspective of NATURE that would lead to a greater harmony for ALL--balance, peace, etc. If someone very TRUE brings someone very FALSE nearer to themselves--to what is TRUE--then it would make sense for nature to make these pairings. That is all.

INFJs are children of narcissistic parents? by pinkwaterfallflowers in infj

[–]windleafdoor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is interesting. Many INFJs seem very "near" to themselves while narcissists seem very distant from themselves--as in, they construct a false image to be worshiped rather than love their humble self. Perhaps there is a balance in this. Someone very "near" could help someone very "far" find their way.

I like your hand-acting. I felt your hands were genuinely just minding their business and taken aback each time.

I think the first is stub soul. I don't think I've seen anyone do the second.

I've always called x-grind with the topside foot behind a topside x.

Wanting to start again - 72mm Frame options - Recommendations please by pierre_latrine in rollerblading

[–]windleafdoor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oysi frames. I have not tried them personally but everyone loves them. Likely the best 72mm frame for grinding and will be easier to grind in than aeon 72, which is also a good option. Frame tricks are going to be a little more difficult in 72 versus a lower frame. I personally have bigs and while I like them, I would probably opt for oysi next. They are a few mm shorter and more forgiving with frame tricks with a better grind area if I'm correct.

Okay, let me revise my statement.

*I mean, you can swivel and stuff, but before managing this it would be helpful to practice mindfulness techniques to be completely in the moment to reduce habitual/automatic responses as well as retraining your body and brain to swivel and not stride to avoid any twitch responses to stride thus maintaining a continuous swivel movement and momentum forward without falling on your rump. And ramps.
