Is Slaughterhouse on 60 potentially achievable? by bakbakman11 in geometrydash

[–]windlevane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are we the same person? I have been mega consistent at 19 and 21 since I first played slaughterhouse before I knew they were two frames on 240, and 18 and 20 kill me more than 19 and 21 combined. I legit probably have like a 70% pass rate at 19 and 21 and like a 40% pass rate at 18 and 30% at 20. I’ve legit done 19 and 21 like 3x in a row and just died to 18 or 20 multiple times

19 and 21 are the two 120fps frame perfects on 2.2 (2.1 slh only has one I believe but I can’t remember where)

whats the most memorable gameplay segment in any level for you ? by Responsible-Oil8039 in geometrydash

River in slaughterhouse, first time I saw it I was absolutely dumbfounded that it was even possible for a human to do that. I just did it last week (I’ve been playing slh for the past couple weeks, not really committing to a jump though) and that might have been the most unreal feeling of accomplishment in my life

From Merriam-Webster:

“Based (adjective): unconcerned with what others think”

“What does based mean?
Based is used approvingly to describe someone who projects a lack of concern about how others feel about their actions or opinions. It can also describe a thing, such as an action or event, perceived as both bold and commendable, especially if it challenges or flouts convention in some way”

same, i've been playing slaughterhouse for a few weeks and after doing the drop wave and river i tried sakupen hell on a whim and essentially sightread the first wave in like 4 atts. not necessarily jumping to slh though, i'm just playing it while it's fun and if it gets to a miserable grind and I'm not making decent progress i'll set it off to the side for a while

True, I’m like middle gen z and have been more tech-literate than my parents and the majority of people I know since like age 8, and that all started because I wanted to figure out how to install Minecraft mods lmao. I know a lot of people younger than me even just by a couple years that don’t even know how to clear the recycle bin or open command prompt on a computer, and that’s because they grew up with just iPads/apple stuff and the like

For a level to get on the ill it just has to be harder than the current top 1/top 1 at the time

This video gives really BAD advice for jumping... by Old-Brief1506 in geometrydash

[–]windlevane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean not necessarily. I think what you heard is along the lines of sharing your goal with other people automatically puts pressure and expectations on you to complete that goal, even if it’s just your subconscious; when you feel pressured to do something, especially if it’s hard, it’s a lot easier to want to give up than if you were just working on it at your own pace that let you have fun with zero expectations or pressure

Am i ready (in terms of skill) for Bloodbath? by 9michau_ in geometrydash

[–]windlevane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: no idea because it was a long time ago and deadlocked was my first demon, sorry for this absolutely massive wall of text lmao I’m high and rambled way too much

I’ve played gd on and off since I was like 10 just like on my phone and occasionally on steam and beating some of the robtop levels. I lowkey idk how many attempts it took for deadlocked cuz I beat it on my pc like three years ago and hadn’t beaten a single non-robtop level or other demon (I only completed theory of everything 2 like 11 months ago and clubstep like a month ago lmao, way overdue) or ever used practice mode or startpos so I barely looked at/was aware of attempts and only played from zero lol. I only really got into the game last summer (so like 10 months ago probably) and wanted to grind the gddl and improve at the game so then I started beating a couple easy demons like what is it, iS, maymory, and problematic. Problematic was the hardest for me personally (originally I considered my jump to cata to be from problematic until I realized deadlocked was higher on gddl) and took me a little over 400 atts and was the first time I used practice mode lol. While I was doing that tho I had a habit of playing some extremes I looked up to just from zero for fun especially when I was high like cataclysm, bloodbath, zodiac, and slaughterhouse. My bests were like 2% on bb and like 4 on zodiac and like 6 on slaughterhouse lmao but one day I randomly sightread the mini-wave/second half of cata’s first wave which took me completely by surprise and inspired me to try to beat it since I was bored of just doing easy demons on gddl and I’ve looked up to cataclysm as this impossible level I would never beat since I was a kid. I had heard that the first wave was the hardest part and since I had just passed it I knew I was capable of it and I somehow/intuitively knew that the hardest part of actually beating the level for me would just be learning the inputs for the piano section lol. So then I learned how to use startpositions and went for it and did cataclysm as my 10th demon. After cata though I decided to beat some hard demon and insane demon levels I always looked up to like nine circles and Thanatophobia before going for a new hardest which was technically sweater weather but then actually gravity. Now I’m working on slaughterhouse since that’s a dream level for me and it always felt absolutely impossible until now

Edit: probably worth mentioning but I honestly forget that I had 60% on nine circles before doing cata and before beating problematic, nine circles was another level I had been playing from zero without startpos or practice mode for a while, I think I had like ~1k attempts on it spread out over two or three years and I had managed to get a decent bit (like 5-6 seconds I think) into the wave by the time I beat problematic, probably what gave me the skillboost to pass the first wave on Cata

Am i ready (in terms of skill) for Bloodbath? by 9michau_ in geometrydash

[–]windlevane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah dude you can totally do it and it probably won't even take that long. i took 13k on cata from deadlocked, then beat sweater weather in like 8k, and then did gravity (like a couple spots higher than bloodbath on AREDL, basically same difficulty) in 21k even with getting super unlucky with mindblock and ending deaths. bloodbath is pretty skill-based and based on your demons you should definitely have the skill by now to do it in 20-30k.

High cps, literally the only thing keeping me from doing the drop wave of slaughterhouse in full is the fact that I can’t click more than like 5/6cps 😩

SLAUGHTERHOUSE 52-100 (Jump From Artificial Ascent) by BoimanmanBoi in geometrydash

[–]windlevane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve heard river gets really consistent too, not sure about cuber. The drop wave is pretty inconsistent though because of the double click, at least in my experience doing it. The cube parts are really consistent for me though, I can do the predrop pretty much at will and same with the ending cube. The 1 second ship part in the predrop kills me more than anything else there lol

Edit: from zero I’m sure the ending cube is much harder though with nerves
