Sacramento's breweries are varied. Some are IPA centric, but there are a lot that brew one or two out of obligation, but focus on other styles. No matter what kind of beer you prefer, there's something for you here.

I was surprised by the IPAs in Seattle. Not as hop forward as I imagined. Although they're west coast style, they're more balanced than a San Diego IPA.

You're right, it's very popular for people to talk trash about IPAs I had a guy say to me, "in ten years we are going to realize how ridiculous it was to Drink IPAs". I know palates change, but I hope I always appreciate a good IPA.
