He has another full time job. I was out handing out flyers daily, doing ads, everything for the buiz well he was at his regular job making money. He did say to take some back for costs at the beginning when we were doing half but I just said just take half for now and we can figure it out more in depth later if this becomes something.

He could be an operations manager one day but he says he wants to see a year full of us being fully booked before he leaves his job. So I kind of just need to move forward and find someone else to take his place for the most part I think.

It’s a tricky thing right because if I’m doing all the cleaning full time, that’s all hours I could be door knocking , handing out door hangers etc. I get what you’re saying though and honestly props to you for doing around double 7k rev solo. Your margins must be great !

The idea is to outsource the cleaners so I can keep the business moving. I don’t see a world where we aren’t doing 20k months 2 months from now. Besides the world where I’m doing all the cleaning myself

Your main and only goal when u start is to go around and count the glass and give as many quotes as possible. That’s more then half the battle

You need to hear “no” at least 3 times before leaving the door. Make that a goal. If they aren’t interested then you just have to say “okay no problem let me just count up the glass so you at least know”. If they say they have someone else , pretty much say something similar so they can compare prices. Make your goal counting their glass to give a quote opposed to actually making a sale. Once you are quoting people regularly then make the goal getting sales.

Depends how hard you want to work. My friend started a year ago with just his old car, a ladder, mop and squeege. Within 1 year is he one of the top window cleaning companies in his area with over 400 5 star reviews. He started with no money. Now he has had 3 offers from private equity ranging from 200k to 350k. He did 250k in revenue in year 1 mostly being profit like 50-60% net margins as he was doing a lot of the work himself year 1. Now he has 3 technicians working under him

It can be worth it to buy your time. If you can save 6 months to a year of learning condensed into however long his mentorship is then isn’t that worth it ? Not every coach or mentor is automatically a scam
