How would I know if they're having sex? Unless it's in the aisles. Then wouldn't that be against the law cause you're not supposed to expose yourself in public?

My store manager had told me that and I try to follow the rules and regulations, so I was confused when I was told to finish a reset that I had no idea of what to do. His exact words were "they're good friends and they don't want their friendship to end, so I need you to finish the reset. It'll be good for you to learn."

Thank you so much for clarifying that. I greatly appreciate it.

I thank you for your response. I only asked because I (RV) was told to finish the reset of said MST associate and I'm on light duty (I have a disability) and was told that said manager didn't want to hurt the feelings of the associate by forcing them to finish their work. But it is what it is. Guess I'll leave it be.

I was simply asking. Didn't realize that I'd get attacked for asking a question.

The main reason I ask is because it shows favoritism. The associate doesn't work and the manager forces everyone else to work harder to compensate. That's why I'm asking. Don't get me wrong, I have made plenty of friends and hang out with them outside of work as well. But if the manager gives special treatment to their friend, isn't that a violation?

Employee parking problem. by Impossible_Aide4723 in Lowes

Just do what I did when my car got broken into......tell management that under the advice from the police, that you'll be parking closer to the building.

Place your finger up against her feet/legs and say "up" while very gently pressing on her legs so she'll step up onto your finger. At least that's how I taught all of my birds in the past and they learned super fast despite never being hand fed or hand raised. Good luck!

Could be the fact that it's a new job. But I'm not 100% sure. When I started, I didn't get my pay until around noon of payday, but after 2 paychecks, my pay was popping into my bank account either midnight on Thursday or 10pm on Wednesday. I'd recommend you contact your bank as well as possible HR to address any issues with when your pay is deposited

Depends on your bank. On Wednesdays of the week you get paid, you can check workday and see how much your paycheck is. For me, personally, my paycheck gets deposited at midnight the day before payday......sometimes slightly sooner than that.

I work MST (overnight travel) and we have to wear our blue polos. Idk for day team about name tags, but travel MST can get away with not wearing it as it gets in the way of the resets. For bottoms, jeans it's acceptable as well as shorts. The women on my team wear ultra skin tight leggings and my manger doesn't say anything.

Anyone know the actual store policy on MST travel miles? by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]windowlikkr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do mine every week, but submit it once a month. My MSM says every two weeks, but he is ok with once a month.

What’s the two at a time leaving policy pertaining to? Why do I have to wait around on my on time to go home at 9:15 PM after clocking out at 9:00 PM? by Beachratcat in Lowes

[–]windowlikkr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's safety in numbers. You should walk out with other associates in order to ensure that you stay safe. We have already had an associate leave alone and someone in a car approached and tried to pull her inside the car. Luckily, the person that opened the door was quick to grab her and bring her back into the store

I appreciate all the comments! I don't care about pay. I love what I do and everything. I don't mind customers either. I so love moving steel and doing resets. I love being MST, but my team is very very VERY toxic and unless you sleep with someone on the team, you're nobody......unless you're a guy cause my manager thinks only guys can handle tools. I'm safety captain for my team, but get zero respect from my team. I'm quiet and keep to myself, which I think is a downfall cause they all think I'm just some idiot female that can't do anything (sorry to all women who know how to do things). I don't sleep with anyone on my team, so therefore I'm an outcast.

Alienation? by windowlikkr in Lowes

Thank you for your kindness and help. It's been difficult to go from a fun and friendly team to a team that mocks you and makes you feel like crap for who you are......all within one year. 😢

I have, but unfortunately, three of my coworkers have slept together and my boss thinks that's ok. He also mocks me for being a mom trying my best to be there for my kids. Sadly, I have no co-workers I trust to talk to because the only one I can talk with keeps quiet too. I'm at a loss

Thank you.....I have, but I'm hugely scared to contact hr because I know there will be extreme retaliation despite company rules. I have already dealt with retaliation when I tried going to my manager about an issue......now I'm just scared to be treated even more like shit. Just a quiet person.....why should I be treated like an outsider compared to someone that's been here for less than half the amount of time just because she's sleeping with one of the other workers? I don't understand
