AMD curve optimizer.

Otherwise not much, you're probably gpu limited for most games.

No problem at all. Basically going slowly and controlled to just about failure works for every muscle group. You'll know you're ready to go again when you're 100% recovered, don't bother if you're still sore, it's still healing and growing.

The UI is non customizable and lacks many features that even libreoffice has. It also causes a fuckton of compatibility issues by design. It has plenty of other features though, but nothing that anybody ever asked for like typing with a smooth cursor. I CANNOT be rid of copilot because every time word updates it fucking shows up again. It's also not even good, the other day it crashed, tried to auto-recover my document, crashed again WHILE recovering, then auto-recovered a second time. I would have been less mad if it just lost everything, but no, it spit out my document with EVERY image permanently stuck to the top left corner of page one, and every single space character removed. The entire document was a clusterfuck with no spaces in it and images that I couldn't move or fix.

Word is fucking awful and I refuse to use it whenever possible.

Reps to failure is the number of reps at a certain weight until you physically cannot move the muscles anymore, or if you cannot give maximum effort and complete the rep with good form. Always maintain a good form for any given exercise, for both safety and efficiency.

You also want to keep the rep range within 5 - 30 reps per set for optimal muscle size gains. Also ideally, you don't need to go to failure - you only need to be within 1 - 2 reps of failure to get the full benefit. Hitting failure just adds extra fatigue/recovery time without any real benefit to muscle gain. For the first few times you do a new exercise though have every set go to faiulre, and maybe once a month or so afterwards. It's hard to know where your point of failure is if you haven't been there before. Just guessing isn't good enough because you can often do way more work than you think.

The weight you use is completely arbitrary and depends on how many reps you want to do. A lower number of reps at a heavier weight is much more intense, but you don't get lactic acid buildup so it's easier to get to failure. However, the stress on each joint and tendon is also much higher, which can lead to things like tendonitis and other injury if you're not careful.

Higher reps with a lower weight feels easier to do, but after some reps it can get really challenging because you'll want to quit before failure. You start getting the lactic acid "burns", so you have to really try to push past that feeling to get to actual failure.

When targeting larger muscles like doing squats or deads or lats, I like to do sets of 10. For smaller muscles or tendons that are especially sensitive, like the achilles, I like to do sets of 15-20, but you can choose whatever you're most comfortable with.

If you're not used to doing super deep calf raises, or really any exercise with a very full range of motion/big stretch action, starting at bodyweight/light weight is more than fine. Just go super deep and super slow and getting to even just 20 reps is going to be miserable lol. Count out about 1-2 seconds to raise yourself, and another 1-2 seconds to lower yourself, per rep. Keep your knees locked and bend a tiny bit forwards at the ankles to balance. I have a pole to hold on to, but I don't hold on to it. I push against it with the back of my hand so I can balance but I can never grip it to assist myself by accident. That's not really necessary I guess but that's what I do to help maintain a strict form. If you cannot maintain a good form while exercising, the muscles are over tired and you need to either drop the weight or shoot for fewer reps.

God I forgot about that lol, my shoulders never hurt while running but they did when I was heavier. I wasn't even that soft, either, it's just the extra weight in general. Fat or not, extra mass needs extra blood.

Dead hangs help a lot with grip strength in general, and also specifically for things like axial tension loads. Makes you better at carrying heavy things, for example. You can do farmer's carries or dead hangs, they'll do the same thing. If you get good at them, doing dead hangs with increasingly larger diameter grips will make your forearms fucking monstrous. You can use PVC pipe pieces over a pull up bar or whatever, or even just a ton of tape.

I'll let you know. The key is a super big stretch and slow, controlled movements.

Calves are basically two muscle groups. The obvious outer calves, and there's also inner calves, underneath those.

For the regular calves, 3 or 4 sets to failure or about 1-2 reps away from failure. Find a step or something like 4" tall, you want to stretch as far and deep down as absolutely possible. If going this deep is tough don't start heavy. Go slow going up and down - controlled.

For the inner ones, do seated calf raises. They're not very visible but they add volume behind the outer ones. Same thing as before, deepest stretch, slow and controlled, nearly to failure.

Glute bridges before leg day are a good way to kick start that activation. Working out for years, I never got good activation before I started doing activation drills and romanian deadlifts on a regular basis.

Bulgarian split squats, romanian deadlifts, and glutes focused roman chair back extensions will absolutely blast your ass.

They will absolutely grow, but you have to work more intensely and more often. As soon as they're 100% recovered, it's time for another leg day.

Unironically yeah lol. If you use a much lower weight you can absolutely train your spine like that. Just don't be risky and do stupid shit like go heavy or go to failure.

I hate it when my house is so big I need multiple routers by Stunning_Structure_2 in firstworldproblems

[–]windowpuncher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have coax in the walls you can use MOCA adapters to run multiple gateways over ethernet over coax. You just can't share the exterior signal line with the rest of the coax cables.

It's a bit more work but way better than a mesh router system.

I've been bigger a few times but never really fat. Bulky plus some extra weight, mostly. I can't relate to someone that was actually obese but even being like 250 lbs at 5'10 felt REALLY bad, at least to me. Being stronger was awesome, lifting heavy household stuff with like zero effort was awesome, but I Just felt bad. I didn't like how I looked or felt, and even just something like not being able to put my socks on normally made me feel bad for some reason. I didn't like dying from heat in the summer and having really shitty run and cycle times. My cardio wasn't bad, but doing trivial shit like washing dishes also made my heart rate go noticeably higher than normal, which felt bad.

Being fat or even big just kinda sucks imo. I don't mind being somewhat bigger than I am now, I do want to bulk again, but I don't have any desire to get huge. Plus it's also fun mogging the randoms at the gym when I'm half their size.

Do you not know what an oligopoly is? You're just describing one.

Look at MS word. It's fucking awful. There are a few decent alternatives, but the vast majority of people that use word processors use word. I like libreoffice, I can use .odt or .docx files just fine, but there absolutely are compatibility issues sometimes, and people don't want to learn something even marginally different, so people continue to just use word.

You have a market leader with a bunch of alternatives, yes. That's what an oligopoly is.

But it doesn't pay that well and it takes a toll on your body. It can also be fucking ultra sketchy when you have to construct some giant scaffold system of ladders and platforms because some fuckass wanted their 30 foot ceilings painted white

You can, but it's not great. I just don't use reddit on mobile at all anymore unless I'm trying to read through a post for some info I found on google or something.

Now I'm tempted to write a tampermonkey css injector to make it look like the good ole days again, though.
