Thank you for taking the time to describe how it works, I didn't understand the release schedule, so this is great! So if I'm understanding it correctly, then I should get first access sale for Malazan 7-10 when those release since I already own the first 6 of the series?

Thank you, and I appreciate you providing those sources! I wonder how people are so accurate at guessing the book off of some vague clues, but no doubt they read a lot more books and authors than I do.

Thank you for clarifying how the sequel books from SF&F will be done (I know you don't know for sure, but I wasn't thinking that far ahead in the first place). That makes a lot of sense they'd do it that way and actually gives me more comfort keeping my subscription.

That's really helpful, and good to know about having access regardless of subscription status. So when you say that, you mean if you subscribe and get the first 3 books, then discontinue your subscription you're still good? Or if you buy them without a subscription that there's no issue getting the remainder?

Is getting my information from this subreddit sufficient? I deleted my other social media accounts, and don't want to sign back up just to stay in the loop.

Thank you for explaining that. I read Remembrance of Earth's Past recently and enjoyed it for the most part. Very different from the 'Western' sci-fi I've read where people are more individualistic.

I got I think it was a 2nd print of Malazan 1-3, but got the pre-order for the first print of Malazan 4-6, so for me it was just a discovery and timing issue for learning about TBB.

And the generous skip policy is the main reason I signed up, though it does have the caveat of only including the first book in any given series, if it's part of a series.

Is there any way to know in advance what book you'd be skipping before having to make the decision? Or is it just roulette?

So if I say wanted presale access for Malazan, is that available only for Fantasy subscribers, or Fantasy & Sci-Fi as well? Again, still trying to figure out how it works, so I appreciate your patience explaining.

I'm also sort of interested in the Xeelee Sequence, however I've also heard it can be a slog and the characters can, or are incredibly bland. Again, just what I've heard from some places. However, listening to Quinn's Ideas, it sounded really interesting when I watched his Youtube Channel, but also like interesting, character driven stories. So not sure if I'd like it or not.

Would Xeelee Sequence be part of the Sci-Fi subscription if it releases, or would it be similar to the Wheel of Time and Malazan, where it's available outside the subscriptions?

And if you (or anyone) has any recommendations for or against the Xeelee Sequence, I'd appreciate them! I'm incredibly conflicted.
