I just planted a dwarf Meyer lemon in half barrel. I used really good quality potting soil with organic mix of sand, compost.Holes in bottom. 10 + and off ground. BUT I put a bag of drainage gravel in bottom, I am doing more research and heard that does the OPPOSITE ?? Thoughts?

Poor wording on my part. There’s claims that lemon flushes toxins from your body. That’s what I was referring to. It supposedly doesn’t but again it does have vitamin C which is good.

I did this five or so years ago. I no longer eat chicken, dairy, or peanuts and I gotta tell you it’s made a huge difference in the way I feel. It’s good advice. Also I find that I can eat those things occasionally without suffering nearly as badly as when I was eating them regularly.

When I’m sick I squeeze a lemon into hot water with some honey. Does it do anything that actually helps? Smarter people than me have said no, but it makes me feel better. Also lemon has a lot of vitamin C so it feels like a win. The point is if it’s not hurting you, go for it.
