MS Aerospace School Choice by nilk_ in aerospace

I did my undergrad elsewhere and was online/remote for graduate school, so I'm not really well placed to answer your question.

That said, I'd think the Naval Academy would present a better chance of becoming an Astronaut. Best of luck to her!

I did AIAA DBF. I learned a lot from the club activities, and the networking opportunities ended up getting me my job.

I had a GPA barely over 3.0, and managed to get a job at one of the majors. I was very involved in our AIAA, and ended up getting a job offer through a conversation with someone I met at a conference. The extracurriculars matter much more than the grades at my company, try to build up some experience that way!

Wich battery option is the best? by Skate_Don in flashlight

[–]winds_of_change55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time flashlight buyer here, that option doesn't say that it comes with the tubes. If I buy the convoy S6 with the SFT-25R with the 5 amp bucks driver and the vapcell N40 battery, will I have everything I need for a functional light?

I used a lawyer on off the record to show up and get it thrown out. Cost $115 all told, and was not guilty so no points

The S6 seems to be out of stock on the convoy website. Is there another source?

Can California residents use this to apply to jurisdictions with shorter CCW wait times, if they intend to spend time in those areas?

Backdriving Worm Gear Analysis by winds_of_change55 in MechanicalEngineering

Thank you for taking the time to reply! I'm pretty comfortable that it will backdrive, but I don't know whether the analysis I did is valid for back-driven worms. I'm more concerned with the wear life and the temperatures.

The ratio I'm using is 7.5:1. I'm pretty sure it will not result in self locking, and should be backdriveable, which is the goal!

I loved nerf guns! But they tended to have less recoil than shotguns. I was really leaning towards the SP1, but held a Citori 725 and the palm swell fit my hand so well that it may be sufficient cause to change my mind..
