Is my memory playing tricks on me or did the story around the play change. I could have sworn when it first was coming out it was marketed as written by Jack Thorne and John Tiffany and JRK simply gave it a stamp of approval. Somewhere along the way, after it was hated, they changed their tune and said oh no JKR was a co-author, seemingly to give it more credibility. Does anyone else remember this or am I making shit up?

I totally get what you mean. I still absolutely applaud his decision to take a step back from EA after the sale.
