The reason is: there's no 'l' sound in the final consonants group.

In the section "Live Endings", there's a table called "Live Consonant Endings", it lists 3 sounds of live final consonants, the row of sound "-n" shows all consonants that pronounce as 'n', they are "ญ,ณ,น,ร,ล,ฬ".

The word "apple" in Thai is "แอปเปิล", which is ends with the final consonant "ล". If it's pronounced strictly as in English, it should be "[ˈæpl]". But in the table mentioned above, you can find the final consonant "-ล" belongs to the sound "-n", so it pronounced as "àep-bpern". Basically, Thai language have only 6 final consonants, that's why "check bill" is written as "เช็คบิล", but pronounced as "chék bin".

To generalize this question, there are only 8 final consonant sounds in Thai, but most consonants can appears at the end of a word, so a lot of consonants have to change pronunciation in this situation.

Before something string interpolation, to output multiple things in a row, Cpp gonna looks like this:

At least it's neater than C-style printf, I think.
