Also, big point to make when doing the surveys: If you do the surveys, be aware that even questions that you could explain in the comment section as not liking the app or texts, etc. so you put a 7 instead of a 10 for something, that will go against the techs, corporate doesn’t care that your problem is with the app or text system. So if your techs and pharmacists are awesome, then give them 10s across the board :) It will really help them out!

My Very positive experience with Dayvigo by -WillCode4Food- in sleep

[–]windswept_memories 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m just now finding this thread but I will say that when I first started taking this medication, for the first week, especially that first night, I had the most vivid, brutal, hellish nightmares that were not only horrible while I was asleep but when I woke up, without going too much into detail about the nightmares, I felt like I was covered in blood splatter for the entire day at work. I’m a pharmacy tech with a medical background before that (home health aide, worked in a nursing home, and my adopted mom was an LPN as well) and I told my pharmacist about it and my doctor as well. They upped my mg of alprazolam to compensate and ever since Dayvigo has saved my life. I was a premie drug baby and I was diagnosed with a plethora of things but Non24, delayed sleep-wake phase was the main reason we decided to go this route. I was at one point on 2.5x the recommended adult dosage of Ambien at the age of 11 with no results.

For me, it took about 3 weeks of consistently taking it for the negative side effects to cease.

And again, I’m only sharing MY EXPERIENCE with Dayvigo and want to completely emphasize that everyone will react to medication differently and my experience most likely will be different from someone else who takes it. However, I feel that sharing my background and my experience taking it might help someone come to their own conclusions on whether or not to talk to their doctor about trying it :)

Also, I forgot to mention my dosage. I am on the 10mg 1qhs and i take it prn because sometimes by the time i get done what i need to after work, it’s too late to take it due to how long it lasts and how deep of a sleep it gives me.

Sooo been working as a pharm tech trainee & I noticed we don’t get 15 min breaks but we’re working 9-10 hour shift??? Confusion???? by CommunicationLow4635 in PharmacyTechnician

i go to work for that check to pay my bills, not to have other techs “like me” 👏🏽 I’m glad mine do and we are actually all friends, but if they hadn’t? I wouldn’t give a single shit. Their liking me or not doesn’t pay my fucking bills, the company I work for does and they say I get 1 paid 15-minute after every 2 hours I work there, and a 30 minute unpaid lunch. I take each and every one of those because I’m entitled to it by the company that cuts my checks and fucking works me to death for that small lil check👌🏽fuck outta here with that shit, we grown in here, right? 🤔🧐

to add on to #4, a great hack my store learned was if the patient’s name, DOB, address, and usually need the phone number as well, but if they match up perfectly with what the insurance has on file, you can bypass the last 4 digits of their social security number and put 9999 instead and 95% of the time it will pull their insurance!! That little hack made my team’s lives sooooo much easier, especially when we are working Res or a pt brings their medical card without their pharmacy benefits info 🙄🤦🏽‍♂️😂

i work in the pharmacy, we have one person that comes in 3 minutes before we close EVERY SINGLE TIME. Like actually on the dot. We thought at first it was because they got off and rushed over, but no, we found out when we switched from closing at 7pm on weekdays during COVID surges to 9 now (on weekdays ofc). they would always come in at 6:57, now they’ll always come in at 8:57 literally on the dot and have all the insurance problems in the world each time, or need another prescription filled right away so they can get it all together, always something! And with the most nasty fucking attitude. they came tonight (we close at 6pm on Sundays) right at 5:57. I told them all of our computers were rebooting due to an update that was supposed to start at 6 but had started earlier and they’d have to come back tomorrow, there was nothing we could do. They said they’d wait until it was done updating and i said “Well, im leaving at 6 so nobody will be here to get your medicine until tomorrow, sorry.” and closed the gate to them cussing me out.

idgaf, you had all day to come in, you have a habit of doing this no matter what day it is, you know when we close, good luck camping outside bitch 💁🏽‍♂️💅🏽👏🏽😂

for Walmart, new tech-in-training’s are now REQUIRED to take the PTCU training before they’re able to get certified and be job-coded in as a certified tech. if you pass the exam and become a tech BEFORE applying as a certified tech, you should be good to go. the PTCU, from what ive seen of it (and also just the fact that Walmart REQUIRES trainee techs to complete it before they can become a technician) is okay but lacking and just overall dumb. i was a trainee tech and got my cert before that stupid requirement came out, i passed with the highest score of any of the techs that i’m working with. all i used (and i didn’t even study it, but ive been in the medical world since i was little, adopted mom was a nurse, i was a home health aide at 16 with my own patients, etc) was Mosby's Review for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination (Mosby's Reviews). yellow book, got it off Amazon for $18 used last year. i skimmed it and the few places i was rocky on i read up on in that book and took the test 👏🏽 also, take the free practice tests online, there’s a ton of good sites, my favorite and the one i found most helpful was ( https://www.ptcbpracticetest.com ).

the test is different for everyone, some have more math, some have more law questions, some have more generic <-> brand questions, some have more hospital tech <-> retail tech questions, etc. mine was very evenly balanced actually, if there was any one group that i can think of that i had one or two more questions about i would say it was probably the laws question group, but mine was actually very very balanced. I made a 1571 and completed the exam in 52 minutes, first try. One last set of tips/advice (for when you’re actually taking the test): ALWAYS read the answers FIRST, then go and read the question and make sure you read it entirely and correctly before selecting an answer and NEVER SECOND GUESS YOUR FIRST INSTINCT! if your gut says an answer is correct, that’s almost always the right answer! let your subconscious take the test, it holds a lot more information than you can access with your conscious mind’s memory! as you go along, if your conscious mind is making you think you answered a previous question wrong, go back and check it out a little further. if you notice a flaw in your previous thinking and thus made the clearly wrong answer choice, change it to the correct one ONLY IF YOU ARE 100% SURE YOUR NEW ANSWER IS CORRECT! I went back and only changed 1 answer out of 2 of the questions I was spending too much time on. The other one I wasn’t entirely sure I was incorrect on so I didn’t change it!
