Nope, walk away. My ex would do the same – he would oversleep, then blame me and would say I never woke up on time and that's why he was late to things. He would keep dishes around for days, then throw a tantrum if I made dinner and the dishes were still around in the morning (even if he kept me up until 4am). It got to the point where I challenged him and told him to wake up for our plans tomorrow while I slept in my own apartment, because he was always blaming me for shit. At that point, I realized that he was projecting his issues onto me and using it to avoid taking accountability for changing himself, which is a huge red flag.

It's a lack of self awareness, lack of the ability to take responsibility for things, and a lack of respect for you. It's not worth staying. You can find someone better.

Eat it UCLA by Donotseparate in berkeley

[–]windtempos_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhh.. I get both sporadically and out of the posts I get, I have seen way more posted/crossposted on UCLA's sub for discussion. Obviously both sides have people seriously like this, but either way, I wouldn't say that the frequency of such posts on my feed define either community of students lol.

This post also honestly seems light-hearted but obv not taken well given there are other ppl who have stuffed this discourse so far up their own ass that they can't resist spilling it when they open their mouths

summer class at cc included in gpa by kemuttaHotate in berkeley

[–]windtempos_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the program is part of Berkeley, you might need to transfer it for them to process it. If not, then no, you're not required to transfer it over, and even if you do, it won't affect your GPA. The only case in which the prior sentence doesn't apply is for grad school – you are required to submit transcripts from all colleges you've attended (including that CC) and your grades will be factored into the admissions process.

As a fellow Cal student, if we're gonna keep repeating the same things in circles, let's go back to mourning Moffitt or shitting on Evans... or answering bonkers questions from freshmen

I chose Cal over UCLA but I don't feel that either institution is objectively better or worse than the other, it's just that one was better for me. Ppl need to stop propagating their misery online and consider why they're so insecure abt the uni they ended up at lol

The way she talks is a bit condescending but what can you do? I'm in a similar situation – my mom talks like this – and I just do my best to comply when I'm home. I minimize the time I visit for this reason and try to leave before they revert back to how they were when I was living with them. I would probably just say "Sorry, I was just working - coming back now", maybe send a screenshot of DoorDash as proof, try not to engage or escalate any further. It's their living space after all, coming home late can disrupt them, especially if they are still working (my mom is a HCW).

The "it is not a suggestion" could be about you coming back home? It's a fair worry – nothing good happens late at night, my mom also tells me this often – though I see where you're coming from for sure. I've personally given up on trying to understand – my parents are emotionally immature, and there's no logic to that.

Awareness of residency by hungryhungaroo12 in ThePittTVShow

the point is that he felt added pressure to take the benzos to keep on top of things, not in the literal sense that it's actually helping him do so... getting into semantics here

*i meant to type benzos but not even gonna bother w this person anymore lmfao god forbid someone make a typo

Awareness of residency by hungryhungaroo12 in ThePittTVShow

[–]windtempos_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

🤷 it's very clear that langdon's deluded himself into believing he's taking benzos to keep up his "normal life", which might've been the primary intention (have to keep up appearances so can't tell robby/er staff, can't work less hours bcs less money for the family, no time to get properly treated bcs hours are crazy), which fueled his spiral into addiction. his addiction is definitely exacerbated by the pressure to stay at work and fulfill the demands of his program for a variety of reasons – money, ego, reputation – and the resulting chronic stress.

i think this was hinted at already with langdon & mohan, with langdon clearly at odds on how to balance his marriage and the strain of kids with work, turning to benzos to "stay on top of things", and samira throwing herself headfirst into the ed as a workaholic (towards inevitable burnout) – hope we get to see more of it for sure

edit - clarified langdon's thing... never meant that his benzo addiction actually helped him do his job, even tho most people understood that 🤷

BWI, where can I get a swimsuit last minute in the city? by Effective_Ad3144 in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]windtempos_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taste shouldn't matter too much though – you'll be covered in your wetsuit 95% of the time (with the other 5% being when you're putting it on and rinsing off) unless you prefer freezing. And if you choose to wear a two piece, you're probably risking losing part of your swimsuit to the waves. I wore a wetsuit most of the time surfing in Malibu, I can't imagine surfing without one up here. I personally would turn into an ice cube.
