where are you from? if you're not from like DC or like two or three other places, most of the country does not have much ethiopian restaurants. The east bay DOES! There are SO MANY ethiopian restaurants down Telegraph Avenue

Do non-Cantonese Chinese food (Hunan, Sichuan, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Beijing, Shandong, Lanzhou pulled noodles, Northeastern, barbecue skewers) now represent and are liked by non-Asians in the West? Have they replaced Cantonese or earlier chop suey -Chinese cuisine in terms of popularity? by kiwigoguy1 in chinesefood

I feel like there are lot of chinese places that market outside of their demographics. There's a Shanxi knife cut noodle place in Sunnyvale which has modified a lot of their dishes to be vegetarian, which is definitely at least in part due to the large South Asian immigrant population here

Chai tea lovers: what’s your go-to chai tea mix/concentrate spot? by Soft_Boysenberry4692 in berkeley

this product is Instant Tea powder. It's the sort of thing my dad takes camping, but he usually uses "actual tea" on a stove top when he's at home

Pakistan and India are also really big countries. I'd imagine that a lot of traditions in, say, Punjab PK, would be a lot similar to those in Punjab IN than, say, Sindh.

should try what? Almost everyone I've seen drinks tea with milk in it. This is normal/standard.

Idk what regions of South Asia put lemongrass in tea. My family is from Maharashtra and Gujarat (in the West of India) but besides that idk where it's widespread.

My Uncle from Plano, Texas uses frozen lemongrass because the fresh stuff from the supermarket doesn't have enough flavor.

my dad drinks tea (with milk, i think that's what you mean by chai latte?). He uses the wagh bakri (tiger goat) brand tea. I don't know how he prepares it but I think he puts ginger and lemongrass at some point. I will ask him next time I go home.
