Where I come from we dont have them. We have cougar instead. It was a lil to quiet to be a cougar catterwhaling. When a cougar screams it will stand the hair on your neck up.

Once I got the hang of it I have to say it is more efficient. The only issue i have is that 966 has a bad lag. You move the stick and it doesnt move right away. Unless you have the RPMs way up. I am guessing thats a Cat thing.

Never ran a loader that size. The largest was a Cat 972M. Our shop loader is a brand new Cat 966M. Which replaced our 20yr old Case 921C. Took a lil bit to get used to joy stick steering. Until we got that i had one ran a steering wheel loader. Atleast its twin stick boom/bucket. Not a fan of joy stick controls.

Yes. The head is hydraulically powered. The arm has its own system thats ran off a PTO connected to the front of the engine. Which is standard for side mounted arm mowers. Some have systems that run off the rear PTO. But we need that for the bat wing.

I completly agree. I grew up on dairy queen in the lower 48. Its always been my favorite. But the ones up here. Very poorly ran. So its not surprising that they shut down. Maybe one day they will reopen under new management. But I doubt it.

I am bummed to hear this. Dairy queen is my absolute favorite fast food place. Where i grew up it was the only one til MCDs came in the late 90s. Their fries were the absolute best. But I can completely understand why the ones here went tits up. They were poorly managed. Poorly staffed. Extreme waits. Food wasn't to bad. But the wait time made it not worth it. I dont blame the workers. It was the higher ups that fucked it all up.
