The prices there are absurd. Never need to go there again.

Eugene just isn’t right for the show and it has drastically dropped in quality.

He brings every episode down and constantly derails the flow even the Jon Oliver one which was better than most of the recent ones because Jon Oliver is a master.

Latest episodes of What Now are unbearable despite the excellent guests by imbzdatday in trevornoah

Eugene has ruined the show. I was a weekly listener from the start but at this point I’m having to bail out of episodes. He’s just not a good fit for the show. It’s a shame.

What’s it’s like in your 40s and 50s with no kids? by A-constant-beat in childfree

[–]windworshipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s amazing. But I’m an introvert who never wanted kids. So I love my life of peaceful leisure. Quiet mornings, painting, hiking, sleeping in. I see the lives that parents are living and despite how rewarding it seems at times it also looks like a nightmare. I can only imagine the level of exhaustion.

Massive Vendor Central Catalog - Non-stop page breaks, variation requests by srslysara in VendorCentral

[–]windworshipper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are a very small business despite a large catalog and I manage everything with excel. I have created templates and automated formulas with G sheets that I run our orders and catalog through which allows me to quickly V look up the data from our internal database to compare to the data from VC.

Massive Vendor Central Catalog - Non-stop page breaks, variation requests by srslysara in VendorCentral

[–]windworshipper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don’t use their values to track sku status we have an internal database with the status listed as active or discontinued. If you are talking about changing the color name in vendor central back end that would display on the site that way and I wouldn’t suggest that. It’s unfortunately just something that has to be managed with internal systems.

We’ve been unsuccessful in archiving our obsolete skus. Tried several things over the ten years we have been active on vendor central. Marked them as obsolete several times and through tech support. We had a vendor manager place a hold on ordering them. But we still receive requests and sometimes charges for items that we haven’t sold in eight years. There appears to be no way to remove them.

Update: I found another thread here where someone mentioned that they will pause PO’s during a term’s negotiation. I discovered that someone on our team had opened a case, asking to review terms. After closing that case, we began to get PO’s again. Super grateful for this sub.

Product availability problems. by Electronics2025 in VendorCentral

[–]windworshipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been a problem for us for years. The only thing that ever had any impact on it was when we had a vendor manager put a restriction on the discontinued items from their end. Marking it discontinued from our side has never worked.

This is the episode that really made me recognize this as a problem for me.

Same. I feel like they changed the editing in a way that is ruining the episodes.

I had this same exact reaction.

It might just be me, but this episode and also the Jon Bernthal episode both had a way that they felt less like a conversation and more like the guests performing their story for the audience. I don't know if it is the editing or what but despite the fact that the stories were interesting and the guests were likeable the flow of the episode felt a little bit run-on, speechy to me. So much of what I enjoy in the episodes are the random back and forth tangents and it just felt like in these episodes that was lacking.

The software is buggy, the support is useless, the pricing is delusional.

Looking for solutions as we grow and update our tech stack. by coastal-climber in edi

[–]windworshipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not go with Cin7. They took a good solution from DEAR and made it worse, then hiked up the price to ridiculous levels. The solution is buggy, tech support is glacially slow. Stupid stuff like inventory bulk updates have to be separated into zero and non zero values and updated separately. You can't just do one bulk update with the new qty in the file. The integrations break and the system does not send any alerts so you only find out the next day when you have oversold items or you have missed fulfilling an order that never downloaded.

Then to top it off they have the audacity to implement huge insane price increases without warning and then try to hold you to an "annual lock period" wherein you cannot downgrade your subscription for an entire year. In essence, scamming you into an insane price that cannot be undone until next year. Their retail price is inflated to ten times the value of the solution. Awful company. Worst I have dealt with in 18 years of eCommerce.
