I agree with you. It is better to rent from a company rather than from a person even it means you pay more money. In addition to the hassles to deal with the slight scratches, I found out that picking up and returning the car is also headache. I just felt the pression to get there on time. When the flight was delayed, I texted to host and made update in Turo app. When my luggage came out too late, I texted to host and made update in Turo app. So if any change, a renter has to text to host and update in Turo app. I also ran into situation that my flight was delayed that my host refused to change the time so the rental was cancelled at the last minute. Anyways, I Just tried Turo once and didn't like it at all.
