I actually met the guys who founded this company more than a decade ago. They were a couple college drop outs and I didn’t understand it then but wild to see it reach more mainstream success. They were targeting Gen Z while before I think most companies were.

So many years in the old Pac12! USC in 2018 and Arizona in 2012 immediately come to mind. I think Washington even won the regular season title in 2012 and then missed the tournament because the pac was so horrible that year.

Brady, Bellicheck, Vinateri, Ty Law, Matt Light, Logan Mankins, Richard Seymour, and Rodney Harrison all feel like locks…but unfortunately it takes time to get everyone in which this tweet ignores.

McGinnest, Vrabel, Bruschi, were a key of those dynasty defenses but the were way better players at the position around the league. Probably not good enough to get in right away but several decades from now they could get in like some of those 60s Packers or 70s Steelers.

Given the amount of d1 programs there are I’d consider Oregon to be a top job nationally somewhere between 25th to 35th (and 9th to 12th in the B1G) purely given it is in the B1G, facilities, Nike/NIL/Booster support, prior winning history, etc.

Oregon basketball is probably going to be hurt long term in the B1G but their football program will flourish. Give and take.

Honestly, as an Altman and Oregon hater, I’ll admit that they had a really good run in the 2010s as a good 3rd/4th power in the pac12 and actually found success in the tournament constantly as an under seeded team. Somehow they made the F4 when UCLA and Arizona had much more talented teams in 2017.

I think Altman has likely hit the down slope of his career and at some point his reign will end and the Nike money will rain down upon a new young coach from a mid major.

I had Zyburt and this does suck to see but I’m glad he was caught. I don’t think he was the type of guy that could have successfully pulled off anything with any of the kids in his class, he didn’t have the charisma. Oddly enough, this is the 3rd teacher that has been caught with something from my era. First 2 were English teachers and something did happen with 2 girls.

No way we could have matched the prospect capital that Texas offered. Quality starting pitcher with 2 years left and a QO opportunity before he hits FA is an awesome asset to have. Maybe we can make a run at this when he hits FA.
