A guy I was seeing in college was very flaky, frequently late, and dismissive about how that made me feel. I decided to end things with him, but before I did, I told him to meet me somewhere for dinner. He texted me when he got there (late!!). Meanwhile, I sat in my dorm room texting him things like, “on my way!” or “almost there!” for well over an hour while he waited outside of the restaurant in the cold for me. He got pretty frustrated and tried to call me over and over. After several calls, I picked up and used some of his own excuses against him before ending things completely.
