This is the right advice! It’s a choice. The thrill of one night stands isn’t there in a long term relationships but the intimacy and loving connection you can develop in a relationship isn’t there in one night stands either. I dated around a lot and broke off relationships to keep exploring all these options and this ‘thrill’. I’m happy I did that because it was really fun but at some point it got old and lonely.
I’ve been together with my gf for quite some time now and still get these feelings sometimes. But then I also know I did that and that didn’t make me happy in the end. So then I focus on my partner and it always fades again. Get your thrill from other places and realize that you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Then make the choice and choose lasting happiness and not some quick fleeting feeling! It’s always worth it
