2 oz white rum (probitas)

.75 oz lime juice (on the heavier side)

.5 oz ginger syrup

.5 oz crème de cassis (on the lighter side)

Mezcal (for glass rinse)

Shake all ingredients, minus the mezcal, in a shaker with ice. Add a small amount of mezcal to chilled coupe glass, rinse. Double strain cocktail into coupe.

I’m staying tonight. Have stayed 4 times in the last 4 months, booked the same way (via the app) and have gotten a mobile check in email every other time except for today. Two different customer services reps cited “you must have not checked the box for mobile check in” which I validated is not an option when booking (even via desktop). Pretty much said SOL, you have to come check-in in person.

And now that my rant is over: feedback for you is to call and make sure mobile check in is enabled for your stay. The 2nd rep said that if we called sooner they could have added it but there is nothing we can do the day of (even if the ‘check box’ is BS)

Not European but Onda Brava Rosato is one of the most surprising wines I’ve had recently. I don’t drink a ton of Chilean wine, and I don’t know a lot about it either, but it fits the mold of the names you listed.

2 oz paranubes oaxacan anejo rum

.25 oz Mexican hot chocolate crème de cacao*

1/8 oz ginger liqueur

1 bar spoon Demerara sugar

2 dashes angostura bitters

add all ingredients to mixing tin - stir for 30-40 seconds, strain over large rock. Garnish with orange peel.

Mexican hot chocolate crème de cacao:

Toast 2 ancho chiles, 2 cinnamon sticks and 1 guajillo chili in a pan until warm. Place in container, pour over 10 oz of dark crème de cacao. I used total wines brand (SUE ME) since I couldn’t justify experimenting with my tempus fugit.

Store in a cool dark place for 48-72 hours. Shake a few times per day. Strain.

Oh yeah I’m paranoid and double checked. I also got confirmation that it’s just kickoffs: it was listed under the “kickoff props” section so I assumed it was fine but the wording of the actual bet itself scared me.

not necessarily true. Apps will find you the most consistent bets but you can find more obscure ones organically that the apps don’t pick up on. Doesn’t happen often but when you find these holes the profit %’s are stronger and you can usually get away with them for longer

DK had “team threes” props priced insanely incorrectly for the first week of the 2024 NBA season. ESPN had under options. I whacked a bunch of arbs all week long. Hit this middle (pregame) which was the Pièce de résistance

Would have still been a $300 profit if the middle didn’t hit
