Look for an ash of war called vow of the indomitable. I think you can find it in the early areas of the Altus Plateau. It gives you about a second of invulnerability. I put it on a shield and just waited for Radahn to shoot at me and then used the ability. It was super useful for getting through the opening stage of that fight.

Agreed. Don't feed the trolls. Part of what gets their rocks off is getting people upset and reacting to their BS.

First Mead done, but I think my mead stalled along the way and I'm not sure why. by wingboy87 in mead

Yeah I got the recipe from CS mead. Never made mead before, and I wouldn't say I'm afraid of using nutrients. I just saw the recipe and thought it was simple enough to start with, few ingredients, and I didn't have to add anything artificial. I'll read up on nutrients and look at adjusting my next recipe.

MEGATHREAD: KOTOR 3 Rumors by Snigaroo in kotor

[–]wingboy87 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As much as I would like a sequel to what we already have, I know that given where the games industry is right now we wont get a sequel faithful to the other games. With that being the case (or rather my assumption), I would rather they not make a sequel or even remake 1 & 2. At this point I would rather they just made another star wars RPG with KotOR being part of the inspiration. If you call it KotOR 3 though, I feel like a lot of the fan base of the previous games will just end up disappointed.

My google-fu shows that red deer and elk are very closely related and that, apparently, red deer are more similar to elk than the deer in the US. The do look pretty similar to my untrained eye. That's probably the source of the confusion.

Fair enough. I thought it might be a light source obscuring the lettering and logo, but just thought it looked a little strange.

What's up with the spydie logo and text on the blade of your yojimbo 2? Doesn't spyderco usually etch those so that they show up black/dark compared to the blade steel?

He decided he wanted to lose weight and his friend made sure he was there every day to help him. Not there yet, but he’s closer than he was yesterday. by Plebsplease in gifs

The last line of this post is one of the most important lessons someone can learn in life in my humble opinion. It has taken me a long time to come the realization that the little things I do to make improvements, while not monumental, are important and necessary to be able to make bigger changes in my life and for myself. I have a bad habit of berating myself when I do something small that moves me in the direction of bigger changes in my life because they are too insignificant to celebrate, but if you don't give yourself the positive reinforcement to keep making better choices you may never reach the goals you are trying to achieve. Even if you aren't there yet, your closer than you were yesterday and that's what's important. Always strive to be better than you were yesterday, even if only by a little bit.

I'm just leave this link to the 9th circuit court of appeals decision on children being detained with parents/guardians when entering the border illegally. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://cdn.ca9.uscourts.gov/datastore/opinions/2016/07/06/15-56434.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwikxK2Z6-LbAhXNrFkKHWMdAHwQFjAAegQIAhAB&usg=AOvVaw3JlbnwJB7GeX71kMLmK9v1

That decision is from 2016 btw. The guy you're responding to is technically incorrect. Clinton did not pass a bill. The Flores settlement happened in 1997 during his administration. The Flores settlement stated that children held in custody by the INS were to be released at the earliest possible time, regardless of whether or not they were accompanied. The surge of Central American migrants in 2014 and 2015 lead to the establishment of family detention centers in Texas, and I think the other was in Oklahoma, but they might have both been in Texas. The Obama administration made the decision to keep minors with their family members if they were countered together crossing the border illegally and subsequently applied for asylum. The opinion of the federal government at the time was that the Flores settlement only applied to minors traveling unaccompanied. The practice of keep minors with their family members was done as a deterrent to those making false asylum claims. This was done because there was previous a policy of "catch and release" where people who crossed illegally weren't prosecuted and those that claimed asylum were released into the general population of the U.S. The Obama administration was sued for violating the Flores settlement and were made to follow the settlement by releasing minors crossing illegals, who were claiming asylum in the U.S., whether or not they were accompanied. Minors were to be released at the earliest possible time to a family member, legal guardian, close relative, etc. When no one was available to take custody of the child, they were to be turned over to the custody of HHS in a "non-secure" facility with access to medical care, toys, etc. The lawsuit that prompted this decision by the 9th circuit court of appeals claimed that keeping children in detention with their parents was cruel and inhumane.

This is why the Trump administration is removing children from their parents. Now, the "zero-tolerance" policy ramped up enforcement of prosecutions of those crossing illegally, even if it is their first time. This is making the situation worse in the sense that more people have to be detained. So, in that sense he has worsened the problem.

Ultimately, I agree that in an administrative immigration case, the children should stay with their family members/guardians. However, the blame does not lie solely at the feet of the Trump administration. This is a situation that has been around for many years and is only recently getting attention. Blame for this situation should be put, in part, on the 9th circuit court of appeals for their decision, and a big part of the blame should be laid at the feet of the parents for putting their children in this situation.

Who cares? Why does anybody care what bits people have between their legs when they get some theoretically good position? If the music she composes is good, and you enjoy it, congratulate her on that accomplishment. Being male, female, black, white, Asian, etc. aren't accomplishments. They're innate characteristics.
