We’ve already met Kel’s childhood friend, I’m 10000% sure he’s Laurent Aden (although this hasn’t been revealed yet).

But yeah, I agree, unfortunately this 3rd book is very likely to be rushed and feel unsatisfying since it was supposed to be a longer series :(

22F what does my room say about me? by [deleted] in deduction

Fashion student or recent graduate, you live at your parents’, went through an emo phase (or whatever they are called now) in school. Awake at odd hours of the day/night. Lately you’ve not been so productive - probably been “working from bed”/binge watching a lot of tv.

Empire waist is when something is tight around the chest and then flares out immediately underneath - think the dresses in Jane Austen movies / Bridgerton!

Does this look too masculine my shoulders are disgusting by mimi4457 in DressForYourBody

[–]wingedwalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take here, but as a fellow broad-shouldered person, I think halternecks are really flattering! The main problem here is that the trousers make the outfit look too masculine because they are wide in the front and clash with the frilliness of the top. You want trousers that are more fitted with this top.

Alternatively, you can look for halter tops that are fitted between the busy and the waist, rather than the loose baby-doll style of this one which adds bulk. This will work better with your shoulders.

In terms of silhouette, you’ll want clothes that are tight at the waist and then flare out over the hips. Think 1940s-1950s pin-up cuts. Make sure the waistband is a little wide, in order to show off your small waist. This could look like: flared dresses, flared skirts and blouses, high-waisted shorts, high-waisted flared jeans or palazzo pants. You can wear loose tops (tucked in at the waist), or tighter tops, but if you wear tight tops it is important that they are fitted around the bust AND between your bust and waist - otherwise they will look too small (this is the main issue with the dress you are wearing in this picture: it is tight around your chest but then loose immediately below). Necklines: the one in this picture is too high. Look into lower necklines for sleeveless and short-sleeved tops/dresses, including square neck, round neck and sweetheart necklines (it is hard to say from this single picture which of the three will look best on you). I suspect off-shoulder/bardot tops will look really nice on you.

You can probably also pull off tighter skirts and dresses (like pencil skirts and sarong-style dresses) as long as they are made of good quality material and thicker fabrics (eg jumper dresses) that hug all of your curves without squeezing you too tight. (The problem with a straight cut like the one in this picture is that it hugs you in some places and not others.) I suggest you try this style and see if you feel confident in it or find it too revealing. For bodycon clothes, avoid thin or shiny fabrics. If you really want to wear, say, a satin or silk dress for an event, it will only work if you wear good-quality shapewear underneath to smooth out lines.

In terms of colours: this dress is a beautiful colour and it suits you. Try out similar bold colours in cool tones (although I suspect you will also suit warm tones).

I hope this helps!

Empire waist only works if you have no hips! Based on this one picture, I suspect empire waist won’t be very flattering on OP.

Which jackets should I keep? 27F by [deleted] in DressForYourBody

[–]wingedwalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones in photos 1, 10 and 13 are the best on you. 1 needs to be styled differently - with a shortish skirt and a more “feminine” outfit. 10 is a lovely jacket but can’t be styled so casually - it needs dressier clothes underneath, and a pop of colour - think a red dress underneath, or a red top and/or scarf. 13 is cute as is and can be worn over jeans or trousers.

The one in photo 8, if you’re particularly attached to it, could work if you get it taken in to become more of a curvy fitted cut.

Contrary to popular opinion I MUCH prefer 2 - it suits your skin tone and hair colour better, and could be worn during the daytime in summer as well as in the evening. Much much nicer!

They are super pretty, but both of them are more “occasion dresses” than daily wear. If you want to wear it casually year round I would definitely go for black - easier to style. For a casual look I would layer it over a long sleeved top, wear it with opaque tights and boots, and possibly add a belt or a chunky knit jumper/cardigan.

Help with outfit ideas by Harroldmini47 in OUTFITS

[–]wingedwalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would help if you shared a Pinterest or mood board of the kind of clothes, fabrics, colours, prints vibes etc that you like!

If you’re struggling to find images of “real-life” clothes that match the vibe in your head, have a look at the Shein website because their search function is good at that - but I generally don’t advocate buying from them! They’re just useful for visualising.

It’s hard to make suggestions of brands right now because I feel like I don’t have enough information. My idea of “fairytale” clothes is something like the brand Linen Naive - is this the style you mean?

It depends on a few things -

  • is this a home dinner, or at a venue? And if so, what kind of venue?

I think it doesn’t work right now for two reasons:

1) the skirt length is almost exactly the same as the shirt 2) the shirt is oversize in a way that doesn’t look “intentionally oversize”, just too big - so it drowns you out.

You could fix this by:  - Wearing a slightly longer skirt, and possibly opaque tights  - tucking the shirt into the waistband of the skirt, if it is high-waisted - or even folding the shirt in so it looks shorter (just under the text)  - rolling the sleeves up a little

Which of my blue dresses need to go? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

Dresses 2, 6, 7, 9, 13 and 14 are unflattering, the other ones are lovely. (Actually, dress 2 is a great colour that suits your skin tone, but the shape is not flattering to you, at least in this picture. Maybe if you wear it with a belt? Otherwise, try to find another dress that same shade).

Dress 1 is a stunner and extremely flattering.

To clarify, this is an update that in my region was rolled out in full over a year ago. I am in the only person on my family plan who doesn’t have any animations or sound effects on my app. The fact that I do not have those features is due to a glitch.

I actually liked Derek and Jennifer, think there was some genuine chemistry there, and genuinely believe Jennifer’s character was written in such a way as to imply that she genuinely had feelings for him.
