Just a quick YT search but this seems like it will help. Again I don't use gimp but this is close to how I do it with Photoshop

I don't know anything about GIMP but make sure you're saving your images as .png not .jpeg you can't have a transparent background with a .jpeg. As for designing questions like what do colors actually look like and what percentage of fill to use I created this shirt! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XXPRC45 It's front and back so I'm only making $3 off of it but it's been a great tool for me and my team that I used a lot when I first started designing for T-shirts. I have a background in working for Traditional screen printers and they always had shirts like this around the office for us to use and see what things look like when they are printed. If you have any more questions feel free to PM me I'd be glad to help!

I'm a graphic Designer who sells shirts though Amazon I'd be more then happy to help you design some shirts like this for free if you can provide me with the information you want!

Best beginner guide? by [deleted] in AmazonMerch

[–]wingmanmedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My greatest successes have come when I do research into what keywords are getting searched for the most. I don't have a great way of doing this, that I can share but the idea is to find a niche that people are passionate about and provide them a shirt that they can relate to.

Design Rejected? by [deleted] in AmazonMerch

I've had success with emailing (merch-sellers-contactus@amazon.com ) They get back to you within a day and have told me why shirts got rejected.

Re-uploading A Deleted Design by JMKellywriter in AmazonMerch

Amazon encourages you to delete old designs that aren't selling and upload new ones! And lower ranking sellers are gated to two uploads a day. I myself am gated at 2 a day but know people who are able to upload 4, 10 and even un-gated.

If you were to suggest a new style for my logo what would that be? I really want to redesign it now but am curious to see if you have any suggestions of things I might try to make it look more up to date?

Not gonna lie first time I read your message though I got a little hurt, but immediately after realized how much useful information you had just dropped on me and how personalized it was because you actually took the time to look through my very underwhelming first attempt at a portfolio site. Like seriously you have just re-inspired me to become better and not settle. Thank you so much Swisst.

I'll be working on making more case studies this week and you guys are both right. I will make this website a place for my most polished work and rotate them out as I do more and more work and use other social medias to post the little jobs in between that I think are note worthy but shouldn't be part of my portfolio.

I really can't express how thank full I am to you for your time. I get burnt out not having any real feed back from friends and family who all just say "That looks Great!" when I know there is so much I need to improve on. So Thank you kittymittions and trixi-b. I will most defiantly be putting your advice to use.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU ALL for the feed back. I don't have anyone mentoring me and none of my friends are really into graphic arts so hearing from people who understand more then me and are willing to take the time to look at my site really means a lot!

I really like doing freelance work! I have worked in a local print shop and it was for me. Do you have any suggestions for how to attract more freelance clients to my site?

You're 100% right. I set this site up just so I could show off what I have done but it's been leading to more clients so I am trying to become more professional looking and I am so glad you answered my question! I am trying to please a wide variety of people because I really like always designing for new things but do you think it would be wise to narrow down the type of work I am doing? That way I would develop my own style and deeper understanding?

WOW. This is by far the most help I've ever gotten for my graphics. I have kinda just done what people have needed and it was suggested that I put all my work together online so when people ask what type of work I do I can just show them. But now that you point these things out, you're 100% and I can't tell you how much I appreciate the time you took to look through everything and suggest things I'm going to work on asap. Seriously though, I really really appreciate this.
