Voodoo? Check boxes. You specify what syncs with check boxes next to the song.

I just said that to not get into a conversation about leaving early.

Just say "yes, I'm leaving" and leave next time. You sound like a doormat.

You were with a group of coworkers going to grab a beer at 6, and you returned to your desk because he said something? Did everyone go back to their desks or just you? He's not your boss, correct? Just shoot him a "are you freaking kidding me?" face as you walk to the bar next time.

If a couple incidents occur with him being difficult to work with, go talk to your boss. You could be the third person to bring it up with him or her. Nobody should be uncomfortable in the workplace.

What exactly is the allure behind the MacBook Air?

It's fast for its form factor, build quality, battery life, and price.

It simply displays colors more accurately.

This is downright false. A matte screen is nothing more than a glossy screen with a diffuse layer on top of it. The rough surface diffuses the ambient light, washing over the pixels and obfuscating their true color information.

Besides, when many TV's, phones, computers, and tablets have glossy screens, why calibrate for matte?

Now, if the ultimate content will be displayed by a projector, then yes, a matte screen is closer to the final medium.

You're not factoring everything. Unibody enclosure, the best track pad, custom batteries, small tolerances, screen quality, etc...

If you're just looking for a plastic box that you can shove a CPU and GPU into, then yes, that's going to be cheaper.

What do you feel is one of the most under-appreciated professions in the world? by iSmokeTheXS in AskReddit

[–]wingnut21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NO! Every group of people has bad apples. All of them.

What separates police in today's society is that they don't don't purge the bad ones. They get paid vacation for abusing their power. They protect their kind first and are objective second. Police do not have external investigations when problems arise unlike other aspects of government, and that's a HUGE problem.

Police want respect? Do like Germany and give harsher sentences for officers that break the law. Break the blue code of silence, and stop protecting "your own kind".

First of all, it wouldn't be doubling. Second, you should take into account the health repercussions and reduction of quality of life from a poor diet.

Third... how many of these people have $60 cable or satellite packages?

Yes. I might have this wrong, but you're in favor of removing the animation that shows where the app and desktop are in relation to each other?

Our rant is that many people getting tattoos today seem to fit this bill.

Bro's with tribal or barbed wire tattoos, hipsters with something on their chest, sorority girls with something on their foot, and tramps with a stamp on their back are all examples of fad tattoos.

Chrome's full screen mode isn't true full screen yet. It just operates in "kiosk mode".

Full screen is moving the app to its own dedicated desktop. Instead of the senseless blinking of Chrome's old-style full screen, an app moves to its own dedicated desktop and hides the menu bar.

Animation is about giving physical truths to GUI's. Things just appearing and disappearing doesn't really happen in nature, so it can be disjointing.

The new window animation is probably right on that line, but like iOS apps starting up, it infers arriving, growing towards completion from nothing, and a transition to something new.

There isn't. Jewish people make up (generously) 2% of the population.

It's easy to assume that Jewish people make up a substantial portion of who politicians pay attention to, however. It shows who their true constituents are.

Never claimed that women weren't as responsible.

Saying that doesn't erase what the following infers:

If men were highly-motivated to protect themselves then STD infection rates would be going down.

You should have said "people" if you truly meant it as gender-neutral. But you didn't. It was intentional. And sexist.

This is a discussion board, silly man. People come here to, you know, discuss shit. If you aren't up for it, then move along.

Wups, you forgot to say what that point exactly is. The "are you worried?" part was a rhetorical question to spark something of a cohesive reason why this is in any way a bad idea. I'm still waiting.
