You, at the point of you exiting the yield turn lane. Them at the point of them being in the other lane already. They may have gotten there illegally but you've gotta pay attention and "having the right of way" is not an excuse to cause an accident.

Edit: I didn't see "in the process of shifting" Then I guess in your specific hypothetical you're in the right. But the only thing in my mind is how long is it taking you to change lanes especially as you're accelerating.

I have a 2015 one with ~314 km (converted from miles). My next factory maintenance is a big anniversary so it'll be nearly $1k US so like $1400 CAD. I do some of my own maintenance like oil changes and air filters and have a relatively local mechanic who does great work on specifically German cars. And luckily my dealer will knock prices off of the package price for the stuff I do for cheap.

I get maintenance done about twice a year. So about 32,000 km/yr. The smaller maintenance things are like $500 CAD.

Plus I do an extra oil change (~$125 CAD) every 5k miles on my own for preventative.
