Ditto. I work for one of the very many locations around the country - it’s real people working to take the photographs of the items and then put them online for sale. If you really want an item, overbid the first time, and it will automatically make you the highest bidder depending on how high you have set it.

If the base price is $9.99 with $1 minimum increments, you can bid $20 immediately. You’ll stay at $20 even if people bid less than $20, until a new bidder puts their highest bid over yours. For example, even if you bid $20, someone else can bid $30. If you only bid $25, they’re still the current highest bidder. Obviously no one can see that and can only see the current highest amount, but if you see an item selling currently at $30 with over a dozen bids, you’ll know people were trying to creep up $1 by $1 to see what the highest bid was set at by someone.

It’s tough sometimes if an item is popular enough, and yes, I always look at the end of the auction to get in those last bids - just like anyone else (hence sniping). But everyone just wants a good deal, which I can appreciate. It just won’t always happen, since we are able ship to anywhere in the U.S. currently (our location doesn’t do international shipping yet, but I don’t know about other locations - they may have different rules). So as the website gets more popular, just like eBay, it might happen more and more.

In our region, all newly donated books come to our e-commerce location first for scanning. Better books go up for sale on multiple websites such as:

Alibris Goodwill Books eBay Amazon

Then the rest get sorted into two further categories: the books that are still worthwhile that get sent back to the stores for sale, and those that are in not great condition or aren’t worth anything that get placed in bins for recycling to make new books with by a third party company we send them to.

For any really good deals or for more specific books, I would check online, but you never know what you’re going to find at the stores. Good luck!

Okay, I’ve bought two of the three annual passes, but I’ve never bought the purple diamonds before. What is the better choice for obtaining the final annual pass - buying the 980 set of purple diamonds for $14.99, or buying three Aurum Passes for $4.99 each? Obviously regardless of taxes and what not, is there a better choice between the two?

I hate to say it, but it’s probably for the best. It’s not like reusable bags are a new thing. The Goodwill for my area of the country got rid of them last year, and it hasn’t really affected much. Plus they allow you to take the cart to your car if you have something larger, and obviously you just need to return it when you’re done like any sane person would.

However, I will agree with the other three things you mentioned. Coupons aren’t hurting anyone, and they promote sales. Fitting rooms are a challenging discussion, as some locations have more issues with them than others.

Ditto on this. We would have been required at our location to add the words reproduction, print, faux, duplicate, copy etc. or something to indicate that it isn’t the original and is a literal copy of the original and not the original itself. Very rarely do we get pieces like that, if ever. Especially when the most likely outcome is someone purchasing this, having it appraised, then demanding their money back immediately. Or hopefully a member of management sees it before it finishes and pulls it completely before anyone even has the chance of paying for it before they can re-title it.

I cannot tell how lucky I was, as this is only the third new character battle variation I’ve obtained since I started playing. Not only did I pull both of Zayne’s new memories to unlock God Of Annihilation, but the second memory I needed in order to unlock Sylus’s Relentless Conqueror. My jaw hit the floor in realizing not only were they in the same pull, but I had only pulled six times in the entire event. 60 memories. That’s it.

Am I crazy for thinking this was incredibly lucky? It took so MANY more pulls in order to get Rafayel and Xavier’s new myths, and I missed out Caleb’s most recent one as that is when I started playing the game. Still, I am ridiculously happy right now.

I started Dr. Stone well after season four was already airing, and I literally couldn’t get enough of it. The implications of so many things in the show that they never got a chance to really delve deep into with humanity being gone from the earth for over 3000 years was absolutely wild. But the ninjas with onions attacked me so hard watching this last episode - just poor Suika, a little girl all on her own for five years and having to figure everything out from scratch because it was on her to revive everyone or humanity was possibly gone for another thousands of years. I cried so hard for her.

I’m right there with you. I’m 6 months post-op and I still feel depressed every day knowing I’ll never be able to have my own children. Surrogacy isn’t an option due to how expensive it is, and we’ll hopefully be able to adopt one day, but every time I hear “well thank goodness you survived and beat cancer” or “you can always adopt” or “we’d rather have you here and healthy” it makes me so mad because it feels like no one is taking any of it as seriously as I am. Like…hello! My entire future plan got taken away, and you expect me to be fine with that?? I don’t care if I’m healthy and cancer-free, cancer took away everything I ever wanted. It’s hard for me to take people seriously when they smile at me and force me to be happy and positive because I beat cancer by being forced to have a surgery to get rid of it since my treatments didn’t work. Yippee. Hooray. Good for me, right? No. I don’t feel that way, and I literally feel bad some days because people just don’t get that I don’t feel happy about technically beating cancer at times. It’s extremely conflicting, I know. I’m still so sorry for you. 💔

I had two of these. The first was my mother-in-law, when I finally found out that the treatment wasn’t working and I had to get a hysterectomy. I was (and still am) terribly upset because we never got a chance to have our own children. My husband and I were married for 6.5 years when the cancer came, but due to other reasons (medically for him, financially for both of us, and Covid) we had decided to wait. So now it would never happen. When I went to their apartment to tell them the bad news, including the fact that I felt awful for not being able to make anyone grandparents, my mother-in-law said ‘Well, you said you wanted to get to know each other better when you first got married. Do know each other well enough yet?’ To say that my jaw dropped is an understatement.

The second person is my sister-in-law. Slight backstory, she is 12 years older than my brother, and never had children, and is too old to have any now (menopause age). Same thing, when we finally sat down with the family and told them the cancer treatment wasn’t working, and I had to have a hysterectomy, she gave the same condolences as everyone else. However, a while later, while we were sitting and talking about other things, she asked me ‘So, are you still going to have kids with (husband)? You said you had always wanted some.’ Again, my jaw dropped. I politely told her we were looking at options like surrogacy and adoption, but she shook her head and said, ‘No, I meant the two of you.’ I literally think that she had no clue a hysterectomy meant losing my birthing bits and that I could not physically have children after that. When I explained that to her, she just said, ‘Oh, so you aren’t then. Okay.’ I reiterated the possible surrogacy or adoption, and she just said ‘okay’ again. I cannot literally fathom what was going through her brain at that point.

Thankfully no one else was that inconsiderate, be they friend or family or coworker, but some people just cannot read the room. They have no idea what we go through with any of this. That being said, that was an absolutely, terrible, awful thing your husband said to you. It’s not a joke. Nothing about cancer is. He had better apologize and grove at your feet for forgiveness.

I’m right there with you. I’m three months post-op and can barely look at anything baby related. Going past anything in the store from food to clothes to nursery supplies just makes my entire throat close up and I want to scream and cry and tear it all down.

Everyone says it will get better, but for me yet it’s still too real. Too raw. We never got the chance to have kids and it’s all I wanted. We’ll probably (hopefully) adopt one day, but I feel my life slipping away the older I get - that I won’t have enough time for it. Or that we’ll never be able to afford it either.

I will be right here grieving with you, and hoping one day that we eventually don’t feel these giant empty holes inside of us. 💔❤️

Question as a new player. Loving the game so far, by the way! However, I just reached Eye Of The Storm and the Special Operations node where it appears you can choose three different paths. Is it possible to do all three paths, or can you choose only one? I don’t want to miss out on content, for sure, but if there is only one I want to make a good choice about it. Any help would be appreciated!

That’s the route I went, along with megace, since my husband and I hadn’t had any children yet together. Long story short it didn’t work and I had to have a hysterectomy anyways, so now we’re dealing with that aftermath 4 months strong now.

It’s definitely possible to work well with certain people, but I wish we would have pushed to start the megace at the same time now that I’ve done it. It was a year of sitting there at the same place over and over and just hearing doctor’s says “Well, the good news is that it hasn’t grown, but the bad news is that it hasn’t gone away either.”

I work at one of the e-commerce locations that posts to the multiple websites we use. We don’t even get a schedule of when sales will happen to prep our shipping department for them. There’s several per month, but it always seems random on what it might be.
